The difference IMO is that we don't have ridiculous expectations. If our clubs were in administration and staring liquidation in the face, yes we'd be desperate to save them. Rangers fans, on the other hand, are desperate to continue to compete domestically and in Europe. They're so deluded about the reality of the situation that their club is in that they genuinely believe this is still what the outcome should be and are desperate to cling on to anyone with money believing they're the saviour who will see them continue to win trophies. I like to think the rest of us would be a bit more diligent and make sure the person with money was actually in it to stabilise the club's finances and keep us in business, so we'd be a bit more cynical of chancers like Whyte, Kennedy and Green. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When Celtic were about to go to the wall, their fans stepped up, as did Motherwell, Dundee, etc. I'm sure United fans would do the same.
