Sherrif John Bunnell
The Northern Irish version of Reporting Scotland on the 12th of July is a treat I enjoy watching on the iPlayer every year after it was pointed out to me on P&B. It was shaping up to be extra loltastic if the SFL vote had taken place that day.
Enigma
Talksport reporting that David Longmuir has said the vote will be on the 13th. Should have been the 12th for potential maximum lulz... Longmuir must go.
daveybhoy
Talksport reporting that David Longmuir has said the vote will be on the 13th. a whole 15 days before ramsdens cup due to start and dundee or dunfermline among others still cant plan or sign players for next season as they dont know what league theyl be in. clubs also probably already booked and paid for trips tofirst round matches not even knowing if the draw will have to be made again due
Hedgecutter
Funnily I was just thinking that. I am going to the friendly against Raith on 21 July, but I notice the also have a friendly against Ross County on the 10th. I was thinking of going through just as a gesture of support for Turnbull hutton's stance and going in the home end. Would i get away with wearing my United scarf? Go one better and wear the half United / half County scarf you'll no doubt have from the cup final.
AyrshireTon
Fri or Tue to avoiding voting on the 12th? Conspiracy or do I smell shite? Pretend it's on the 13th and then have it in secret on the Tuesday. "Oh, we've had the vote already, guys. Division 3"
itzdrk
Raman Bhardwaj @STVRaman So, David Longmuir is the latest to have a pop at Messrs Regan and Doncaster. cyderspaceman
My mum just told me she thinks Scottish football needs rangers. Can someone insert a Jefferies "what" image on my behalf. You have omitted to say your mum is 98 years old and in care. (no offence intended)
Sooky
PRESS STATEMENT: Scottish Football League clubs are, over the next few days, being asked to make a crucial decision as to whether we are in a position to accommodate Rangers into the SFL. I can confirm that, at this point, no decision has been taken by the Board of the SFL or by any of our clubs. The time has come for all outside influences and pressures to stop. This is our national game and part of our culture so I ask all other bodies to leave it to those who have been put in this invidious position to make a decision in the best possible interests of our game. I have every faith in the judgement of those clubs and their Boards to make a considered and reasoned decision which will be in the best interests of the game, how it is structured, how it is governed and how it is financed. A specially convened meeting of all clubs is planned for Friday, 13th July, 2012. David A. Longmuir Chief Executive, SFL 5th July, 2012. Granny Danger
It's been moved from the 12th as certain interested parties had a prior engagement. Wonder what that could be?
BigRubberFist
Had a listen to last night's sportsound there, which I very rarely ever do. Traynor just loves to talk over people when he's on the ropes, doesn't he? He's also got the Chic Young/Fat Sally habit of asking "who are these people" as a means of deflecting attention. Fanny of the highest order.
Hedgecutter
Scottish Football League clubs are, over the next few days, being asked to make a crucial decision as to whether we are in a position to accommodate Rangers into the SFL Woah, woah, woah! Proper consideration to not just whether it'll be SFL1 or SFL3 but either expulsion or suspension? Could this be down to clubs realising it's possibly too late to give them a place not knowing if they'll be able to fulfil fixtures? Who came behind Annan in the last application round? (edit - it was Cove 'no new ground' Rangers, probably Spartans behind them) Somebody send them a nice letter now. Edit: Question: If Rangers got suspended from the SFL, would they stick a non-league senior side in to fill in the fixtures and then say "cheers, now back you go..." the season afterwards? Surely not, hence SFL1 SFL3 or full expulsion are the only options surely? Sevco He's also got the Chic Young/Fat Sally habit of asking "who are these people" as a means of deflecting attention. Also just using his classic "[insert name], can I say something? Can I say something? Can I say something..." repeated until the other person finishes whatever they were saying which he hasn't listened to at all. Monkey Tennis
The inpropriety of Murray and Whyte surely is something for the authorities to deal with. But this inpropriety has benefitted all in Scottish Football? A remark so profoundly stupid that it's actually quite impressive.

TheTaxMan
Saturday 29th December - presuming Stranraer, as losing play off finalists, move up the second division Smashing, think of all the local derbies next year with Ayr, Queens and Stranraer all in the same division. Only thing, Stranraer will miss out on the travelling knuckle draggers following Sevco - as they pass each other in the promotion/relegation places at the end of the season -
AyrshireTon
Woah, woah, woah! Genuine consideration to not just whether it'll be SFL1 or SFL3 but Scottish league football in general? Could this be down to clubs realising it's possibly too late to give them a place not knowing if they'll be able to fulfil fixtures? Sevco Exactly my thoughts this morning - and Longmuir's phrasing is interesting. Ground? Players? Infrastructure? Can this even be considered for SFL3 let alone SFL1?
Enigma
Let's hope they get punted. Could be a lot of changes being discussed if that happens. May I suggest a thread title well in advance? Tables of the Reconstruction.
The Master
OK, can anyone who understands f**knugget logic explain this post to me: with it being one of these two teams taking the spare position in the SPL surely these two shouldnt be able to vote in our vote as uncertain if they will be SFL clubs at start of new season. So as they shouldnt vote how would thier vote count eg if both vote = 31 votes neither vote = 29 votes but if neither vote how do the votes for them count and will it be 15 or 16 votes that are required? could it have a situation of 15 votes for and 16 votes against but we still get into Div1 as have 50% of the official number of 30. And if they abstain do me start at -2 votes for no other reason than SPL vindictivenes? (feck typing this making me more confused) Why would Dundee and Dunfermline voting equate to 31 votes? Please don't tell me they think they've got a vote...
