itzdrk
Cheers. Doesn't help that their website is in some unintelligible language. Thanks. I guess if the games aren't live then they aren't paying so much for them. yeah i think they show it about 5/6pm on a sautrday night

Macshimmy
To be fair i find it difficult to get overly interested in a league not involving my club, but nearly every week i spot 1 game in the SPL which sounds more interesting and important than watching whoever the old firm were playing away. In summary, the guy at sky who decides which games we are watching needs a kick in the baws. Agree. BBC Alba quite often gets the more interesting game.
Granny Danger
This thread could last another 3 months so the upgrade had to be done sometime. I thought you were just having a laugh, you know, friendly banter, not adverse criticism.. It is hard to suss these things in text though. Hence Mr Smiley Maybe not the right place but....I'm pretty sure the last time there was an upgrade the site was down for a good bit longer than anticipated. I think it's important. Stuart Cosgrove recently made the point of the importance of social media in the whole NO to newco campaign and in the coordination of boycotting season tickets sales. I may be prejudiced because I only post on here and not on any other social media but I reckon P&B made a huge contribution to this. I reckon it was wrong to try to change it at this time. What's really funny is that it's OK as 'customers' to criticise the SFA, SPL etc but apparently not Div.
HibeeJibee
Not according to the SFA website....http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/football_document_libraries.cfm?page=2570 They aren't. 5 SFL clubs didn't have licenses in 2011-12.
EdTheDuck
If the game is on TV then I am less likely to go to the game. There's no 'backward' thinking in this theory! Think about it, eh? The reason German football is so (comparitively) cheap is because the clubs use their TV & commercial income to subsidise gate prices. If we got the same money as the Norwegian League, for example, Scottish clubs (other than the two obvious monstrosities) could subsidise gate prices by a £5 (or even a tenner) and still come out ahead even if gates remained static. HibeeJibee
The regan myth. What did we do before the days of SKY, ESPN, Setanta and all the various national beverages and payday loan companies splattered across our shirts offering 2770% credit to kilmarnock schemies? In the days when Scotland had a national team to be proud of, that managed to qualify for five world cups in a row, with players that any team would have bitten your hand off for. You forgot bunnets, tramcars, and the News Chronicle . -

cyderspaceman
Until Sky and and/or other sponsors make an actual statement about their stance then anybody can post up any figures they like but we'll all be at the mercy of the doom merchants until that point. Should we try to flush SKY out? I know it's already been suggested, maybe it's a goer. Edited July 6, 2012 by cyderspaceman

alimci
You forgot bunnets, tramcars, and the News Chronicle . And by happy co-incidence, the day the first tram runs again in Edinburgh, we will raise the World Cup.

Caro-Kann
Unless I have this completely misinterpreted, you are suggesting that Dunfermline are relegated below all of the teams in SFL1? So the top league consists of all the current SPL teams and everyone in the SFL1 apart from Dunfermline? Yes, but at the end of the day they still only end up in the division below the top division. With the exception of Alloa/Stirling every team that was relegate/promoted move up/down a league.
GroovyDave1973
Which won't bother them much - licenses are optional. Pretty sure the licence is needed for the SFL, but their is no stipulation for the SPL.

Macshimmy
oh ALEX THOMSON ON OFF THE BALL 2MORO 07/07/2012 12:05 Alex Thomson, Archie McPherson and Stephen Craigan take part on this Saturday's OTB show. It's quite a mad lineup, I think Craigan's lack of pace may be exploited, and Archie might just give out a few of the Secrets Man Was Not Meant To Know, that he just can't be arsed keeping under his bunnet any more. Gaz FFC
I've said it before but it never get;s old, how can sevco sell season tickets? Why would anyone pay SPL prices to watch sevco in division 3? I know the orcs aren't the most intelligent lot, but you'd think they'd be more careful with their limited giro funds. Usually when i pay my money at the cinema i know what film i'm going to see. Just saying
Fife Saint
Craigan's tongue being Jemmied up Sevco's arse is more likely to hinder him than his pace.
