WaffenThinMint
Pollok could play Rangers in the Scottish Cup this season. Will be funnier if it is Irvine Meadow!

castilla
Rangers Website Article The SFL must remain steadfast, and decline any invitation to joined SPL 2. Thereafter Regan and Doncaster should be sacked.
beermonkey
Remember - "Bomber" outlined all that needs to happen... Newco just need to pay £5000 more per season than their competitors and they will win the league Didn't bomber also say he had the paperwork to prove sevco will be playing in SFL1 ?
Broken Algorithms
As for Terry over Rangers on Sky Sports News, it isn't really a surprise. Chelsea are a Champions League winning side with Terry as a star player. They're a global footballing institution, Rangers are mere pretenders. They're nowhere near as relevant as Terry on a global level.

ajohnstone1988
This thread should be moved from SPL to Division 3 banter now! Regan has to resign now; his postition is untenable after his scaremongering before the vote. So proud of the SFL clubs sticking to their principles. Hopefully now in the next 2 or 3 seasons we can get the changes needed to transform the game. 42 teams- 2 leagues lead by one body (SFL) Premership 18 teams; 2 games against each team home and away, 34 game season, which means 4 games less as to allow a proper winter break. 1st division 24 teams; 46 games- more games for division 1 as they can then raise more revenue- pithces in division 1 become artifiscial allowing them to play during the prem's winter break harnessing more interest. Id then dissolve the juniors into the SFA and the highland league; and east and southern scotland league and then create a regional system that will allow a proper pyramid system. The power of the Old Firm is now broken for a few years- lets push the reforms through now
TheScarf
Some bun on my Facebook just posted - Imagine winning SFL 3,2, 1 and the SPL in 4 years!. WATP!! Edit - Why would anyone outside of Scotland and NI give a fuck about Rangers' plight? They're a fucking nobody in world football. SSN are rightly focusing on the JT story. Much bigger story IMO. Kdy
Longmuir's statement that the clubs want a 42-club solution will hopefully mean that the SFL clubs will tell the SPL where to go with any ridiculous plan for SPL2.Just keep saying no.

Monster
Scumbag Regan will do his utmost to get them into some sort of b*****dised SPL 2. This could drag on a bit yet.

monrovianmonk
WE ARE GOING TO GET SHAFTED!!! RANGERS STATEMENT ON CLUB WEBSITE"Rangers' future remains uncertain after the Scottish Football League clubs voted against the Light Blues playing in the First Division next season. "At a meeting at Hampden today, the 30 member clubs agreed to accept Rangers into the SFL but voted against the SFL board being allowed to broker a deal with the SPL and SFA over new structures and procedures which would also include Rangers playing in Division One. "It is now understood that on the back of a briefing SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster and SFA counterpart Stewart Regan gave to clubs last week that the SPL will introduce a plan for SPL 2 - which would include Rangers - and invite existing Division One members to join."

HibeeJibee
Can someone explain what in hell's name Regan is going to do about it, exactly? SFL have voted to admit Rangers to SFL3 if Dundee/Dunfermline are invited to SPL. Unless SPL is going to invite no-one (in which Rangers are in limbo) or invite Rangers (in which case prepare for nuclear war)... what's to be done? They're not going to form SPL2 in a week, and SFL clubs have said they don't want it anyway.
castilla
The SPL clubs are now morally bankrupt if they try to set up an SPL 2. When will the mainstream media start questioning their so called "sporting integrity." They've been riding high on the euporia of their so called moral high ground. Now they have been exposed as the biggest hypocrites in the history of the game.
