GLESGABOY
Somebody turn out the lights when they leave................no idea of social implications,no idea of economic implications,no idea of whats just occurred today. Lots of back slapping and well dones to each other in amongst the usual low rent diatribe and social bile. "We have the power...." no you don`t. Watch this space as the dominos start to tumble....... Finance from the SKY deal first followed by the trickle of other meaningful investment that all the champions of sporting integrity rely on every year to balance the books. Please don`t run out the old argument about "we had football before we had SKY/television rights and we can have it again" The fact is that the clubs then weren`t run on such a reckless manner and the overheads relative to income were always managed responsibly. Clubs now frequently live beyond their means, Rangers/Sevco/Orcs or whatever witless title that they have today are case in point. The Scottish game at grass roots will be the first to suffer from the number of clubs that wind down their already fragile youth policies because of reductions in revenue. It`s the first place that cuts get made when times get hard. We are now officially on the road to becoming a footballing backwater.Well done everybody, let the self congratulation begin............ On the plus side with the number of "never going back" posters on here I`m sure the local high streets will all be looking forward to receiving your hard earned cash at the end of every week.... kerrrching!!!!!!!! -
HibeeJibee
Surely the SPL2 is a non starter. The rangers accepted entry into division three so if a SPL2 was setup then it would be the top 10/12 teams from the SFL which means on paper that it wouldn't be the rangers due to them being the lowest ranking team in the set up. As of right now Rangers don't have a place in any set-up... they've been accepted into SFL but a space in the Third Division doesn't open-up until Dundee/Dunfermline are invited up. One supposes an abhorrent 3,000-seat rule/similar could be deployed. Another thing... wouldnt forming an SPL2 and restructuring SPL (whether expansion or retraction or play-offs) require a high threshold of SPL club votes? Surely, again, it only takes a few clubs to get a resounding "bounce" off their fans and it wouldnt get passed?

WaffenThinMint
Rumoured 5 to be: Brechin Stennie Shire QOS Hamilton Can be. Albion Rovers were one of those that said they would vote "yes" beforehand. Either East Stirlingshire or Hamilton Accies were "no" as the others were declared "Yes"s.

Billy Jean King
Rangers want Div 3 say their fans - clearly Green and Co have no intention of playing in Div 3 and will do ANYTHING to avoid it. Every club in Scotland has listened to their fans bar 1 (2 if we include Killie) if this is the case !

Kyle
Rumoured 5 to be: Brechin Stennie Shire QOS Hamilton 1 from division one 3 from division two 1 from division 3. If true, glad Forfar and Montrose also said no. Struggling to comprehend why any team said yes though, especially with the weight of feeling/views from so many other clubs saying no.
Hedgecutter
Regan is supposed to have a wider remit of looking after the whole of Scottish footballs interests. Instead he's chosen to whip up a atmosphere of distrust and animosity due to his disgusting underhand attempts to piece back together a broken model, totally throwing away a golden opportunity for change. He can f**k right off. Stewart Regan (born 1963/1964, County Durham)[1][2] is the current Chief Executive of the Scottish Football Association. He was appointed to the position on 28 July 2010, replacing Gordon Smith.[3][4] Regan worked in the brewing industry for 16 years, employed by John Smith, Bass and latterly Coors.[1] He helped to establish a Coors division in Scotland by arranging a major sponsorship deal with the Old Firm football clubs.[1] He then worked for Yorkshire County Cricket Club for over four years as chief executive.[3][4][5] Within the first months of his appointment at the SFA, Regan had to manage the Scottish football referee strike, drafting in foreign officials as replacements.[6][7] At the same time, Hugh Dallas was removed from his position as head of referee development, amid controversy about an offensive email regarding Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the United Kingdom. Four other SFA employees were also sacked, but three of these were later reinstated.[6][8] In response to these events, Regan pledged to make the Scottish game more "urgent, transparent and speedy" ... and a fine job he's done.
monrovianmonk
MIchael Johnston will probably volunteer Kilmarnock to go down to SPL2 in order to get some nice Rangers gate money.
Just Another Number
What odds will I get for Sevco Scotland Ltd missing out on promotion because of a 10 point deduction handed to them as a result of Still The People's sectarian singing? That would be pleasing. Really pleasing.

stonedsailor
I'm sorry I disagree - I'm pretty sure that 3 at least were from my Div and the talk at Bayview on Wednesday was there's no way we'll travel to give the spineless surrender monkeys gate money Then in my opinion you are as low and spiteful as any former Rangers fan I have met or read posts from. This was about justice not revenge, you are the type of supporter which Archie MacPhearson described on TV last night. Rangers were the only villains in this situation.
