itzdrk
I would imagine that would be very much dependant on what kind of squad they have. If they are trashing every club in the 3rd by 6, 7, 8 nil every week I'd imagine the Homo Erectus mob would buy it. Then again, if Charlie's squad is decimated by TUPE, they might find themselves in a dogfight, literally, every other week. Make no mistake, there'll be a fair few 3rd Div. players out to take a scalp or two. id suggest Scott McLaughlin at Peterhead will be up for killing all huns beating Sevco
Highland Dogma
645000 sky subscribers in Scotland according to the Herald. But how many of them get the sports package? Why risk them cancelling altogether and going to bt or virgin when it's become abundantly clear how motivated we all are right now?

Mastermind
I just heard a Rangers fan belting out a few party tunes. He must have been out at the pub celebrating today's "victory". The tragic thing is, for the overwhelming majority of Rangers fans, today was a victory, for a few reasons: 1. They get avoid the scenario where they are humilated in the SPL by their greatest rivals 2. This belief of theirs that all the SPL clubs will struggle without the money that 'the people' generate - they see it as revenge, despite the fact it saves them from point 1. 3. They get to start afresh, visiting new grounds, something different from the boring trips to St Mirren, St Johnstone, Motherwell, Kilmarnock etc as they work there way up the leagues. I work in Glasgow and haven't met a Rangers fan yet that isn't happy with today's outcome. Personally, I agree with those that have said Newco Rangers will never kick a ball - I can see Green walking away now if he can't get anything for the likes of Naismith, McGregor, Whittaker etc

Diamonds are Forever
Over the past few weeks I've been critical of the naysayers who were only to keen to tell us that newco would not be liquidated/would get into the SPL/would get into division 1. They've all been proven wrong. Now we have moaning faced c***s saying it's not good enough, that they've still been given preferential treatment. Maybe they have but that completely ignores what would have happened had it not been for the concerted actions of ordinary supporters. What the Scottish football fans have done through pressure and determination is immense and I'm pissed off at people shitting all over it. Why is pointing this out having a go at the fans? The fans have done an incredible job, if it wasn't for the efforts of fans of all clubs newco would be starting the season in the SPL, I have no doubt about that. What has annoyed me is the likes of the Raith and Alloa Chairmen giving it big licks about sporting integrity and then going completely against that and giving the newco special treatment just because it's the club formerly known as Rangers. For me the end game here was not getting Rangers in the 3rd division, it is having a game in this country which is built on fairness and equality, and here we are the very start of this new era and already they are getting preferential treatment. I'm geniunely surprised at how many people don't seem to be bothered by this.

With the season so fast approaching, I think they did the right thing. Would have been much funnier if they had been booted altogether, but at the end of the day, everyone will be just looking to get back to business.
