Claymores
There is already a big hole at the back and thats with Goian and Boca. As for McCulloch, he was absolute pish today and was his usual "Elbows & Mouth" McCulloch. Glad to hear it mate - "elbows" got the scum past Brechin and elbows was a bit dangerous for our piss-poor defence on Tuesday. So happy that yez showed 'em.
kiddy
Goian and Boca are gone soon surely which leaves a big hole at the back. After watching Sevco on Tues, I have to admit that their big McCulloch as a 14k a week hvn will dominate wee teams from the 2nd or 3rd Well if nobody offers to pay them the same, or more, than they're on just now, there's precious little the Green Knights can do to get them off of Sevco's books.
WeeHectorPar
Fat Sal + top class players is a bit of an oixymoron isn't it - did you mean "more" players on silly wages?! Isn't it the same thing as far as the oxymoron, Fat Sally, is concerned?
kiddy
Should've gone to Duff & Phelps. Begbies Traynor were appointed as liquidators on Thursday at the request of the directors. Four employees were made redundant immediately and the liquidators said there was no real hope of retaining the other jobs. The remaining staff will stay on to help clear stock over the coming weeks. The company will continue to trade for a period of time in order to realise the value of stock but is likely to be closed within a matter of weeks.
pozbaird
Just back from a lovely day out in St Andrews, including nipping over to Dundee to watch St Mirren go top of the SPL. Hope you had your Irn Bru patches on, ya' useless Sevco Division 3 shite. Time for a beer.

King Kong Bundy
From 2:22ish, watch his face! Absolutely priceless. Did McCoist say Balavage (Bavidge)? Didn't he play in goal for St Johnstone 30 years ago? Doing well if he's still playing.

WeeHectorPar
Far Sal would do well to look at the history books and see the cases of teams which were put together with the intention of steamrollering all in their path and yet still failed. Top on my memory list is Marseille in 1979-80 when their first team included 10 internationals. They were amongst the favourites to win the league. However, the team didn't gel and Marseille were relegated to D2. To make matters worse the final game was against Brest who had won only 3 of their 37 games and had 13 points (2 pts for a win). Admittedly both teams were by now relegated but Brest hammered Marseille 7-2 to make the shame complete.Marseille had the common sense to get rid of all the big names and base their new team round the players from their youth academy. In time this led to the successful team which was bought by Tapie and the European Cup victory. This was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for Rangers to develop a new young team, perhaps over a number of years while building up the infamous warchest. They would then have been the target for a massive takeover. However their typical short-sighted, get-rich-quick mentality has doomed that to failure. If ever Rangers needed a manager with the know-how to bring on youngsters now is the time but they have stuck with "a Rangers man" who is out of his depth. The only way they will come back, should they even survive the monetary problems of the next few months, will be to learn a bit of patience and appoint a manager, even on silly wages which are currently going to unenthusiastic over-paid players, who knows how to develop young players. Buying success is no longer an option.

Buying success is no longer an option. Totally agree with this. Mcoist is a total fool he is just making the same mistakes that rangers have alway made. They would have been better looking through the leagues 1-3 and buying players that know how to compete there and added them to their youth players. The boy mcallister for peterhead is the perfect example, a cracking player who will scores goals in league 1-3 for fun. Instead sally goes and gets kyle and sandaza on stupid wages only because the sevco fans have heard of them. Kyle will be lucky if he plays twelve games due to his injury problems and sandaza whilst a good player will probably not fancy the games away from ibrox. Then in his post match interview sally talks about getting more players so expect more spl journeymen who will take the places of the youngsters in the team. Total joke

mylothedog
I think that sally feels he can hide his managerial inadequacies behind these players hes buying, because they really should stroll the next few seasons. It will only highlight even more what a truly awful, tactically naive, inept fool he is.
WBR
Is Sally not trying to sink the Sevco boat to pave the way for the Silent Knights to step in with Sevco II/Rangers III?
stonedsailor
From 2:22ish, watch his face! Absolutely priceless. I just posted in the matchday thread that you can see pure terror wash across his face, he struggles to get "panic" out of his throat and then spends a couple of seconds composing himself. I'd love to offer Sally a game of poker some day.
Ned Nederlander
I think it's fair to say that The Rangers will win this league, even with Ally McCoist picking the team the pure financial effort will bring results. But The Rangers have brought a Formula 1 car to a go-cart race ..... and given Mr Magoo the keys !! Gretna walked the leagues on wages of around £500 a week - that's 14 players for 1 Dean Shiels !! - and don't give me this pish about having to win the Second Division with this bunch of players as well ... quality over quantity might well be the norm but in this case The Rangers could easily have quality in quantity !! and not have to pay off any backroom staff as a result I guess your average Bluenose would accept a league win with the youngsters getting blooded and a few 'Auld Heids' leading the way, long term it would be supremely beneficial - so is all this expense geared into getting The Rangers a cup win and 'success', if so I point to Mr Magoo sitting in the driving seat.
