williemillersmoustache
At the real risk of implying i have any sympathy for the bears, the issue is if we allow a series of obvious and demonstrably bad for the game types to rip the total pish out of a set of supporters, no matter how much they richly deserve it or how enormously funny it is, then we are paving the way for it to happen to a fanbase/club that isn't a bunch of puddle drinking, hard of thinking, arrogance riddled morons. Who do, definitely deserve the protection and support of the game as a whole. As is so often demonstrated, the ibroxians care not one hoot for the game/nation as a whole and would gladly cut their own arm off just to beat us with it. For the sake of yourselves if not everyone else, wake the f**k up. Edited July 24, 2015 by williemillersmoustache
nsr
Haven't a lot of clubs been burnt already either by spivs or by decent owners who just spent far too much money? Also, other clubs don't have supporters with the same combination of spending power and gullibility as Sevco.
Ken Fitlike
Can't see any report of what he actually said, must have been brutal stuff for a 10 game ban. Once a The Rangers player, always a The Rangers player Earlier this week, Rotherham and the FA refused to comment on the matter because of a strict confidentiality agreement that prohibits anyone connected to the case with making any comment about it. It is believed that was put in place over fears of a risk to the parties involved if details were revealed.

Ken Fitlike
A new low for the Ps&Ds. how do you make commenting on the Kirk Bigfoot story 'a new low'? It is just an illustration of the ingrained tradition / culture that your club and their outdated bigotted trogdolyte support wallow in. For the sake of yourselves if not everyone else, wake the f**k up. Bloody good post that. I agree entirely that there are certain types that should not be allowed anywhere near our game for the damage they can do. However, when that damage is done to Rangers, it gets all blurry for me.
AberdeenBud
I see Kirk Broadfoot got a 10 game ban for sectarian abuse. Was probably actually done by a Chelsea player IMO. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/rotherham-defender-kirk-broadfoot-handed-6127136 "Broadfoot was born into a Protestant family in Ayrshire and is known to be a staunch supporters of certain cultural traditions relating to his religion" Cheddar cheese and pineapple on a stick? Staunch traditions? where's our resident buffon who likes to intertwine these issues when you need him?
williemillersmoustache
It's a tightrope man. It's funny, they're being taken for total mugs, there will be more pain to come but in the end it has the potential to be as damaging to the wider game as it is to newco. When it transpires there is no money or they buy scott allen with blood diamonds or something.
AberdeenBud
Oh and Dave King. Before you even touch on anything else anyone who thought that Apartheid era South Africa was an appropriate place to make a fortune is obviously a horrible individual with no moral compass. A real Rangers man, if you will.

Nah the way I see it is that the potential benefits to our wider game of having the OF duopoly broken, outweigh any wider threats. I totally understand your reservations and would normally be in complete agreement with you. This isn't normal though - it's Rangers and if it's bad for them, it's good.

Ken Fitlike
What the f**k are you bumping your gums about? What bit of "Once a The Rangers player, always a The Rangers player" isn't stupid? Just observing that Mr Broadfoot could well be the new poster boy for all the medieval shite that a large percentage of the Rangers tribe identify with? Ex Rangers player acts as per the reputation of the Rangers tribe. As reported..... .......Kirk Broadfoot has been handed a staggering 10-game ban for a sectarian tirade against James McClean. ........Broadfoot was born into a Protestant family in Ayrshire and is known to be a staunch supporters of certain cultural traditions relating to his religion. ........The ex-Glasgow Rangers player launched the attack against the Wigan and Republic of Ireland winger at the New York Stadium on March 14. I can see stupidy at work here but it isn't Romeo's comment
