Ned Nederlander
He was, but you missed the point, if it was somebody else replying then I might have considered it was deliberate. Right ok, so it looks like I've missed the point - what point was it ?

dave.j
Quite clearly you were. 'The Rangers board has also agreed that all shirt sponsorship revenue generated from 2017-18 onwards, and for the duration of the loan facility, will be paid to Rangers Retail Limited.' Whats that quote got to do with it, i haven't denied that or suggested otherwise? you were guessing that that was one of the contracts that also got renegotiated.
dave.j
So it has not been confirmed then...cheers Have those news items been retracted?
strichener
He is a shareholder, how do you know that he did not put part of it up himself? Given the FACT that a resolution was put forward for all shareholders to be able to turn loans into equity, do you not think it would have been unfair and probably illegal to not invite other shareholders to contribute? For once you are not, the notice period is unknown and cannot be disclosed...see fat mike gagging order. I don't know that he hasn't put up some of it himself. However when I went to school it was the case that if you had 30 sweets, then you could quite easily contribute 5 without asking others to give you some out their bag. This is why I said that I think it is telling that he had to make the phone calls. Unless the resolution was passed before the fundraising then all shareholders (regardess of number of shares) would have to have been offered the investment on the same basis. As this was only offered to some shareholders then I would assume that it will be via loans as there is no authority for the company to issue equity on a preferential basis. It appears from subsequent posts that there is indeed a 7 year notice period
10menwent2mow
So if they pay back the £5m. It's only 7 years until the SD contract runs out??

dave.j
So if they pay back the £5m. It's only 7 years until the SD contract runs out?? For some reason Tedi doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
stonedsailor
For some reason Tedi doesn't want to talk about it anymore. I love it when they get all excited then the facts seep out and kick them in the balls.
aDONisSheep
https://mobile.twitter.com/BBCAlLamont King must think the horde button up the back "Only took an hour to raise £5m" , heck, how much as he put into the company so far? Utter fandangos. Completely agree. I don't understand why the GASL has to lie all the time, (even when it's good news) or are we really to believe that they only got round to resolving the SD loans on the morning of the AGM? Surely even PlasticRangers fans think that was a load of bull! Yours aDONis

The_Kincardine
no we don't Adonis, Kings quote today re: we will be debt free and one of the strongest clubs in world football after this fiasco ring true whether you dunces can accept it when it happens or not See, I think this makes us appear stupid and that the estimable Mr King should use more judicious words. Something like, "We currently need support from shareholders but are aiming for a balanced budget by x" would be much more sensible.
