Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

He's either just another crook who's at it (bad for Rangers fans) or he actually has no idea what he's talking about (bad for Rangers fans). An employee is under no obligation to TUPE into a newco, any employee wishing not to TUPE will just be allowed to leave as if his contract had expired. No sanction for the employee.

I'd love it if NewCo Rangers immediately found themselves in hot water by holding players hostage. New Rangers, Old Cheating.

Im glad you posted that, i was almost starting to believe they had to transfer!

I knew they didnt, but its on constant play!

First child born this afternoon, 2 perfect score predictions on the work sweep and the Buns are deed, if Carlsberg did days........

Just as well it was a girl, don't think Mrs Ribzanelli would liked a son called Hector!

Congrats - I trust you've called her pozbairn in honour of our illustrious OP?

David Murray has blood on his hands, He has been pumping money in for years and it was not sustainable. He is the number 1 reason they have gone. History will show that his stewardship was nothing but a gravey train that would eventually hit the buffers when the cash dried up. Whyte was a patsey in all this to deflect the heat. The charliton has been found out.

Seems an appropriate moment for me to reproduce my favourite post of the entire thread...

As I was walking down the Copland Road,

I met some total strangers.

They said to me, are you going to see,

The famous Glasgow Rangers?

...Nope.

Waaaahahh!

That was me :)

Apart from the birth of my daughter probably my finest achievement.

I am delighted to have been proved wrong by HMRC.

A question for No8. I presume that you received your season ticket renewal letter yesterday or today? What were D&P thinking of? This is even by their standards extraordinary! They must have had an idea that this was going to happen. Was this just another attempt to fleece the gullible? What advice have you been given? I am not trying to wind you up and take no pleasure in your predicament. I work with a few Rangers fans who were irate today when they got their letters!

I received an email to renew but i am waiting for the letter through the post as i usually sign up for the CCCS plus i send in my away application with my sons and a boy i work with. We were just discussing what we were going to do this morning just before the news broke. There are so many different scenarios i am a bit at a loss at the moment.

Newco in the SPL ... I'll renew

Newco in the SPL with heavy sanctions ... I am undecided but probably renew

Newco in the SFL 3 ...I'll renew but would be looking at the prices being reduced

Buying over a struggling club and rebranding them ... Would like to thnk i wouldn't renew but probably undecided on that as well.

Just feel let down by yet another shyster...Sorry Mr Green but that is how this appears to me. He claims he was trying to get the CVA through but has been in the press talking of new signings and major investment...He was boasting if HMRC blocked the CVA he/the club would be £3 million better off. If he was serious about getting the CVA he would have kept his mouth shut or preferably put more into the CVA pot to make it more desirable.

1 plus to come out of todays news is the fact that HMRC are going to investigate what exactly has been going on. As i have said for a while i want to see those ultimately responsible for our downfall punished and punished severely!!

Happy no more Rangers day everyone!

Trying my best to follow (follow) the ins & outs of everything, can someone explain how newco can get all the assets for 5.5m when creditors are still owed a lot more? Anywhere else assets would be sold at market rate and divvied up among creditors.

Cheers!

Im glad you posted that, i was almost starting to believe they had to transfer!

I might be wrong, but I found this on a union website:

Employees employed in the undertaking immediately before the transfer (or who would have been so employed had they not been unfairly dismissed) for a reason connected with the transfer automatically become employees of the new employer, unless they inform either the new or the previous employer that they object to being transferred. In this case the contract of employment with the previous employer is terminated by the transfer of undertaking but the employee has resigned and is not dismissed.

Basically, any employee who decides NewCo ain't for them has to tell NewCo before the transfer takes place and they don't get punished. Rangers don't want to be tugging that thread, surely?
