NotfromFifehonest Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) Was Murray basically dodgy from the word go? Or was there a point where he was actually a successful businessman? I blame Joanna Lumley and the Prince of Monaco (no not Sir Craig, the real one). If you rewatch "The Men Who Sold the Jerseys" the downturn all started there It's all about the Rangers - a multi dimensional cast! The DA Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 “@BBCchrismclaug: #Rangers announce they've sold 17,000 season tickets so far.” As compared to the 34K they announced in August last year. They still have a couple of months to double their sales. Any idea what it was at this time last year? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

NotfromFifehonest Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) Yes - you're snookered Tedi - the spivs have won - they can limp to SPFL then start rodgering you Orcs rudely from behind without vaceline (SP?) once the loyal start gawping at STs in the big big league and buy buy buy Edited June 13, 2014 by NotfromFifehonest 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Highlandmagyar Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Over 30K, total ST sales for last year was 36K, so more than 50% of their customers have not renewed, that should be seen a massive message of discontentment from the fans, the board however will likely ignore it. 22K ST will be equivalent to 27.5K against last years due to the price increase, alongside this is the fact that many Rangers fans will continue to support the team and pay at the gate, this means that they could struggle through to around January, then we have this extra share allocation...they just about might make it. And when runs out, you have your pals at the SFA to bail you out. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MikeyWellFan Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 And when runs out, you have your pals at the SFA to bail you out. I would hope that they are not given the same helping hand/leniency they were last time. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Double Jack D Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Was there not something in the AGM that said they required similar or higher ST sales to remain solvent for the next 12 months? Regardless, a likely 50% drop in sales following promotion should be a bit more worrying than Wallace appears to be admitting. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LuoAnLai Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Don't worry. The money they get from selling Murray Park to the SFA will tide them over. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Broken Algorithms Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 17,000 did, that's already more supporters buying season tickets than any other club bar celtic. Which is all well and good except for two points. Firstly, it isn't as good as the norm. Secondly, it still creates a financial hole with their current output in terms of costs. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bar Celtic If Kenny Miller is your 5th highest earner on £5k a week. Frightening to think who is the top earner in that squad 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The auditors signed-off that they were solvent on the back of promises of equivelent ST sales at the increased price...............does 17k even match their 12-13? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 its not enough is it?. but rangers fans are buying season tickets rather than not as the pars fan suggested. It appears a lot of fans are not renewing season tickets. You can try and spin it however you like. It's a bit of a disaster for the clumpany 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Refer back to the audit report wayne - the professional company signed you off as solvent only after assurances that the ST would be equal or higher than the previous year and with the price increase 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
