~~~ Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I'm sure Celtic were using a similar scheme at some point (Juninho?), so you can revise one of your league titles. Who gets that one? We paid HMRC for that. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WhiteRoseKillie Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Now onto Celtic This. So much this. You know they've been up to no good - it's just a case of catching the feckers. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kiddy Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) FOUND IT! https://www.flickr.com/photos/paddimir/6950472951/ Just look at all the glory they have ROBBED others of, then decide if they deserve to be allowed to take part in Scottish Football again. Aberdeen - 5 Leagues, 2 SC & 2 LC Hearts - 1 League, 1 SC & 1 LC Motherwell - 1 League & 1 LC Falkirk, QoS & Dundee - 1 SC St Mirren, Dundee Utd, Ayr United, St Johnstone & Hibs - 1 LC All that's before quoting Celtic's 9 leagues, 2 SC & 3 LC. Mark Connolly Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I'm sure Celtic were using a similar scheme at some point (Juninho?), so you can revise one of your league titles. Who gets that one? Pretty sure Celtic shat their pants at the threat of legal action and came to an agreement with HMRC - seems like a sensible approach eh? On the broader point of this being a test case for others, wonder what other clubs will now be worried? Arsenal have long been understood to be one, and if there's tax evasion involved, any club Harry Redknapp's dog has been at must surely be a contender too. On the narrower point of Rangers, lol. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
flyingrodent Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I'd take titles/cups off them but you can't posthumously award them to others. What about the teams Rangers defeated in the earlier rounds of the cups, they might have won the final instead. Just mark them "No award due to financial malfeasance" or something. Seems the fairest thing to do for everyone. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Good old Superscore board "It wasn't Rangers, it was David Murray" Again, why do they seem to think a football club is some mythical entity 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If i remember right, Arsenal done the same thing, Hmrc got wind of it & arsenal coughed up what was owed. End of story. If only rangers had done that instead of hiding everything from everyone. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The_Kincardine Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) If only rangers had done that instead of hiding everything from everyone. On the money, chap. I always thought there should be a thread exposing our calumnies but no c**t would be that bothered. I reckon it'd be a 2-pager at best. sergie's no1 fan Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 The Mint offered HMRC a £10M deal. That was very generous of him . 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 We paid HMRC for that. There would still be player registration implications though, no? Right enough, no 'sporting advantage' would have been gained because Juninho was pish anyway. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AyrshireTon Posted November 4, 2015 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Hmmm 2003 Scottish Cup - not sure we can claim that one as we went into admin later that year! Well if nobody wants it, give it to a more needy club. Like Hibs. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We did lose the league that year also As far as I can remember, Juninho was paid via an EBT after he left Celtic.... a few years later we became aware of a potential tax liability, done a deal with HMRC. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If only rangers had done that instead of hiding everything from everyone. The difference being that Arsenal have a surplus to the tune of £200 million sitting in their current account, and 2 of the richest men on the planet (genuine billionaires) fighting for control of the club. They can afford to pay it off. The **** have nothing but a mountain of debt, and a bunch of crooks in charge. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
