The_Kincardine
Aye, you've just been in the wilderness these last 4 seasons. Didn't the years of wilderness wanderings follow from being liberated from tyranny and were preceded by a meal of succulent lamb? Believe it or not that's actually the correct original spelling. I knew I should have checked first! Oh FFS - you had to check that? Shame on the pair of you!! The_Kincardine
There is a conspiracy of sorts, not a conscious deliberate one and not one that there's any evidence of involving the judiciary. The police, the media and the footballing authorities however, certainly behave in concerted ways which favour the Scottish footballing establishment. This establishment involves Celtic every bit as much as it does Rangers. So there's a conspiracy which is neither deliberate nor conscious but it goes beyond the scope of the one envisaged by Celtic fans? Is that what you're trying to say here? BTW how can you have an unconscious and accidental conspiracy?

Is that what you're trying to say here? BTW how can you have an unconscious and accidental conspiracy? You can have the effect of a conspiracy when like minded individuals and institutions work, sometimes in concert, to favour a status quo. We've seen it in the "There is no alternative" rhetoric of Regan and the tabloids about how Scottish football can only be based on having a strong OF. For the avoidance of doubt, I'm not for a moment suggesting anything Masonic or even Protestant about this 'conspiracy'. Celtic benefit massively from it.

So it's not a conspiracy, isn't conscious and nor is it deliberate. At worst it's inertia. Would that be a fair summary of your view?

Continuing the Israel in exile theme, there's a load of trying to make bricks without straw down Tannadice way right now and you're definitely sliding down the pyramid.

Would that be a fair summary of your view? No, it wouldn't be remotely fair. What we have is far more active than your characterisation of my outlook would suggest. What we have is football's governing bodies, huge swathes of the media and occasionally the police, acting in their shared interests which largely coincide with those of the OF.

While I'm very much against a lot of how Scottish football operates it is simply individuals whos job description is to maximise revenues and to do that they are pushing the short term view of having the OF back. Lazy? yes. Incompetent? undoubtedly. Conspiracy? obviously not
