I'm going to do this "as-live" thing at 1pm on Sunday It's really the only free time I have at the moment and if there's any overspill I still have an hour before I need to head to work. We've got some team news on the way and we'll have a look at how both teams made it to this stage. Brazil have two Pro Vercelli players playing for them today. Cunha and Káka. Reinaldo is on the bench (which goes to show how good Brazil must be!) and Maringá is injured and sadly will not feature. Italy have made a few changes to the side who faced England in the semi-final. Defensively they are unchanged, but Pagnotta is dropped in midfield for Palmieri who is back from suspension and Russo is out for Vacca. Up front, Moretto remains, but youngster Chiarucci is replaced by Esposito. You all should know how Italy made it to this stage, so let's have a look at Brazil's results. Having come from a group featuring Cuba (W3-0), Holland (D1-1) and Iran (W2-0), they eased past Romania in the first knock-out stage. They did a good job against Mali in the quarter-final beating them 4-0, and they knocked out holders Spain in the semi-final, winning 2-0. He tries to take on Antonioli on the left-hand side of the pitch. He skips by him and cuts inside. He's one-on-one with the goalkeeper... ...but his shot goes harmlessly wide. He plays a brilliant pass to Moretto who skips past the defence. He hits the shot... GOOAAALLLLL!!!!! ...and that's 1-0 to Italy already. A very bright start from the Italians and Moretto gets his fourth goal of the campaign. A great move all in. A sensational ball from Vacca to play him in, cutting the defence open like that, and one touch from Moretto and he slides it past Santos into the bottom right-hand corner. Great goal. Oh. Maybe not. He manages to get past Antonioli again and cuts inside. One on one again... ...but Mazzon leaps like a salmon and puts the ball out for a corner kick. Great save. Vacca again manages to split the defence with a killer ball and it's Palmieri with the shot... ...a good save by Santos as he tips it wide for a corner. Palmieri could have perhaps done better. GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!! What a strike from Vacca! Right into the top corner, from what distance, and Santos never stood a chance. Loreti this time, with a one-touch pass, manages to find Moretto in acres of space. He runs forward and he's now one-on-one with Santos. For 2-0? ...but it hits it straight at him. Fortunately the rebound comes back in his favour. Can he finish this time?! He cannot. Santos parries it away and it's a corner to Italy. Leandro goes for the audacious shot from 25-yards... Just over the bar! A good shot from distance but it just couldn't dip quite quickly enough. Italy will be very happy with their first half performance but will need to keep pressing and trying to get that vital second goal. Brazil will really need to try and go for it in the second half. Surely?! No! Brazil are down to ten men and Dudu Cearense has been sent off for diving, receiving his second yellow card! Disaster for the Brazilians who will have to finish the game with ten men. He manages to find Esposito in a bit of space and he tries to knock it in for 2-0... ...but it's wide from him too. He's not been great up-front at all today. Nothing has came off for him.
