Stellaboz
Apologies to all who listened to Episode 14 of East End Tales and got an edited version broken by the USH. 101
I drove past Pitreavie today and the team were training looked pretty healthy numbers so unless there are some of the academy boys joining in the Sunday session there might have been a few extra bodies in training, fingers crossed next week brings another player or 2.
Cardle is Magic
Just noticed there that former loanee Jim O’Brien was in interim charge of Notts County at the weekend after their manager took the Swansea job. Some start to managerial life - a 5-all draw at Grimsby!
Chubbychops
Jermaine Hylton has left Arbroath. We should make a move for him. Looked pretty dangerous when I've seen him. Edited January 15 by Chubbychops

From the Times: Thus the 36-year-old Jim O’Brien, a former Dunfermline Athletic player in caretaker charge of Notts County, recorded a 5-5 draw in the first match of his managerial career, just as two other former Dunfermline players ended their managerial careers with a 5-5 draw — Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson against West Bromwich Albion in 2013 and Rangers’ Jimmy Nicholl against Hibernian in 2018.

If Fisher can come back though it hopefully means we can have Otoo or Hamilton in midfield? And things start to look a bit less desperate.
Cardle is Magic
Agree with McPake completely but a bit baffled at why he thinks such perfectly standard comments may “upset people”?
Chubbychops
Harry Sharp heading back to Dundee according to the DP. I would try off loading Little too and put the wages together for somebody to take the 1st choice spot off Mehmet
DAFC.
Little must be really bad to not get a chance this season. Seen enough of Sharp to deduce that he is absolutely useless. I know Mehmet is poor, but this guy is the very definition of poppadom hands. Ideal if Little and Sharp can be punted and someone decent brought in to challenge Mehmet or even take over.
DAFC.
KRH back by late February as well apparently. Think we can forget about him having much of an impact on the rest of the season. I wouldn't be in a hurry to rush him back in and risk further damage.

A wee bit of exposure in March and April maybe and like Matty Todd just get fit for the next one.

Agree. I’m now well over the fact that we’re not good enough to compete in the playoffs this season, as we suspected. All about staying in the division this season. A lot of our big players won’t be fit until near the end of the season, so hopefully they get a couple of appearances here and there before the end of the season and are raring to go in pre-season. I keep hearing Rovers fans say about the similarities between us this season and them last season. Last season they had bad injuries, similar to us and rarely had more than four on the bench. I think they finished 7th and by the sounds of it were a pretty tough watch. Completely different animal this season with some great signings and all players back fit.

Maybe the late February date takes in to account not rushing him back?
Heaton
He might make the squad and then get some appearances off the bench from there on. Easing them into match fitness or not being forced to rush them on in place of another injured player coming off, (Bene @ Ayr) would be not rushing him or any returning players. Everyone knows they won't appear on the bench without suitable recovery on the training pitch, but that's not the end of their recovery.
Stellaboz
For me now it's all about just getting ourselves a spot in the championship next season, avoiding any further long term injuries and then putting together a full pre season for a push next season. Arguably KRH, Todd and Bene make up a huge part of our core and we've simply struggled without them. Could do with 2 more additions minimal just for numbers right now.
Chubbychops
Aye, it's just not worked out due to the horrific injury problems this season. There's definately potential with a near fit squad to get a promotion play off spot with the current group but I really hope we try stengthen further in the summer and start trying to complete with the top 3. If we get rid of United and get Livi coming down, there would be a great chance to put in a genuine promotion push for the first time since 2011. That's way to long for a club our size. For now though we need to cover some of these injuries with another couple signings and make sure we're in this division next season.
DA Baracus
I said in the summer that there needs to be an element of ruthlessness when it comes to the squad and that's even more applicable this coming summer. There's some players who simply aren't good enough if we want to be challenging near the top, and some who are simply too injury prone.
