Well that's the paper now offically published. Traffic is slowing down the website anyway.

Should be pretty interesting to see what's been suggested in it, and if it's actually going to be anything substantial. Hopefully it can spark some proper informed debate from both sides

What was it Div said...

Something like ' if you don't like the way the forum is moderated, f**k off'?

Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out :)

Good decision IMO.

Aye good decision. There will lots of separate issues to discuss over the next year and makes sense to declutter from one thread so people can find the info that matters to them rather than trawling through 1000 pages

Its a way to HIDE them. Why today eh? Why on a massive day like this?

Pretty much this. This thread is tedious to the extreme, with the same ground covered over and over by both sides.

A few threads, discussing individual issues should work better for everyone.

Thankfully the Record have an “expert analysis” live blog of the launch of the white paper on their website.

I imagine it will include updates like:

“This thing is massive, like hell I’m reading that!”

“No pictures, disgrace.”

“No mention of Rangers so far, bit disappointed. Salmond out.”

“Why is this in the science centre anyway? I literally had to walk across a bridge to get here.”

“Is that Jim Traynor?”

“Good to see Nicola Sturgeon after her role in the Smurfs movie. She did well considering she’s NATIONALIST SCUM.”

“Keith Jackson, has just turned up expecting a press conference with Neil Lennon. He stinks of buckfast and Greggs sausage rolls.”

“When’s Braveheart on?”

“Peter Lawwell is here? Does he run the Scottish Government too?”

“Keith Jackson just pissed himself. Jesus Jacko, again?”

“We’ve been asked to leave. Apparently shouting “Here Jim, how did Ibrox go ya p***k?” to Brian Taylor of the BBC and Jacko soiling himself isn’t acceptable conduct in a press conference. Proves once and for all that Salmond doesn’t know what he’s doing.”

Some of the questions being asked are bloody stupid:

Q: You say there would be no border controls. But you also says there would be a borders agency to control migration. Isn't the inconsistent?

Eh, aye pal, very good. Ever been to an airport in London? Notice how there are different entry gates for EU/non EU passengers? Is that inconsistent?

No matter what, it's a master class in how to handle a launch like this. Can you imagine Lamont being able to do something similar?

Me neither.

Salmond and Sturgeon arw outstanding politicians, Lamont would likely have a seizure trying to deal with something like this.

Quite like Nick Robinson looked like he was away to have when he spat out his question straight from the bettertogether play book.
