Why not join a volunteer group or attend a night class and find out what people are like? Don't objectify people; it may seem funny and pleasurable but in the long run, you'll suffer. I don't want to volunteer or goto night classes to meet people. I gave OD a go on the advice of a friend. One site had me answer 20 pages of questions before telling me that because I was not divorced yet I was ineligible. Another cost me £5 to set up and an age to get them to stop taking money from me - account was deleted. The one I ended up using seemed to have 2 genuine women for every 10. Most posted "steer clear" photos in the same way that poisonous frogs advertise the fact with a display of bright colours (and why so many pics in public bogs? One even had themselves peeping out of a wheelie bin!). Was an education to hear that "dating but nothing serious" actually meant the same as "intimate encounter" was supposed to mean. Fortunately I met one of the few normal people (thus enabling me to delete that account quickly too) and life is as rosy as f**k now.
