They only go 4-8mph plus the time taken to get through all the locks.....it took me 8hours to go from Linlithgow to Edinburgh.....was the same from Grangemouth to Linlithgow. I know it's slightly off topic, but for a person (me) who is a shiter at horror movies, I've developed a zombie obsession. It does help that the boat is moored on the opposite side from the towpath plus the path on "our" side isn't a thoroughfair.
