SJC's Boat Thread

Recommended Posts

Busted! Took a wee trip to try and find sjc and I was shocked, shocked to find him in Leith trying to sink the Royal Yacht Brittannia Obviously those "renovations" were more extensive than he was letting on.

Quite a bit fatter than I'd imagined

Not sure Scottish Canals would let me away with having a mock German WW2 U-Boat! Looks smart though :D

Is that Captain Birdseye?!

SJC, any chance of a snapshot of the boudoir? I'm actually fascinated by the thought of living on a boat!

Will put some up at the w/end.....am in the process of sorting it out.

Nice comfy double bed though :)

Das Boot!! That u-boat is a thing of beauty. Bidet? Get a Japanese toilet. It can warm your arse on those cold winter mornings as well as squirting your bum with water.

^^^^^ sounded good in his head, on reflection, leaving himself open to a sledging.

SJC, your neighbour's bright yellow boat is bowfin'! I keep catching it in the corner of my eye from my desk at work. Feckin off putting.

Admittedly it's a bit bright but its brand new & a very good spec.....makes mine look like a rusty old tub!

Do you ever worry that it will spring a leak in the middle of the night when you're sleeping and sink?

Not really....the boat gets surveyed every 4years to gain its BSS. The thickness of the hull is checked....when new its 10mm of steel.....they tend to lose about 0.1mm a year. Mine is 5yo so the hull thickness is deemed more than adequate.

Do you worry that the gas boiler with explode through the night in your home?

I have a question or two.

Have you ever made love on the water?

Are you dreams more lucid, what with you bobbing about and what not?

Do you get to put a wheelie bin out? If not, how do you deal with refuse?

Have you ever pissed over the side of your boat?

That is all. :)
