The band were probably playing hymns. Hope you enjoyed it I was seething but my foot was tapping along to the tune.

The Hibs parade on St Patrick's Day and the 15th of August. Doubt it would have been them, but I wasn't there so I don't know .

Good - you're a typical P&Ber then Apparently this pish needs to be punted to the Apprentice Boys of Derry/Scottish Cricket Thread based on this quick google: http://www.bandparades.co.uk/event/laurieston-southside-apprentice-boys-of-derry

It's handy (vital? ) to know these things so you can avoid certain places at certain times of the year...

topcat(The most tip top)
Scotland only conceded 3 wickets in setting Hong Kong a target of 190 in their T20 match in Abu Dhabi. They may conceivably regret not taking a few more risks but they should be alright Hong Kong require another 142 with 7 wickets left and 73 balls
topcat(The most tip top)
Looking safe now HK need 48 of the last 2 oversNetherlands will be more of a challenge on Saturday Ireland are set to face Afghanistan later today
topcat(The most tip top)
Hong Kong finished on 165/6 Scotland win by 24One moe win against either Oman or the Netherlands should put us into the Semifinals Our Celtic cousins will do well to beat Afghanistan in the desert in the second half of this double header. They also have the hosts in their group and Namibia (who technically don't have T20 international status yet)
topcat(The most tip top)
Ireland's task looks tougher still after being restricted to only 125/6 from their 20 overs

topcat(The most tip top)
A narrow win for Ireland over Oman means they're still in the competition. Scotland conceded early wickets and only managed 148/7 The Netherlands replied strongly and only needed 8 from the final over to win with two wickets left Two consecutive run outs on balls one & two of the final over and Scotland emerged victorious The Netherlands will need to beat Hong Kong and hope for the best
topcat(The most tip top)
Netherlands beat Oman but with only 4 balls to spare Ireland set the UAE a target of 161 and then proceeded to demolsh their hosts top order. It only took 22 balls to reduce them to 21/5. UAE rallied a bit with and managed to see out their 20 overs but fell far short. So that means Ireland finish 2nd In the Group and join Afghanistan in the semifinals
topcat(The most tip top)
Hong Kong beat the Netherlands meaning that neither can catch Scotland Scotland are about to play Oman. Oman won the toss and elected to bat A win would mean we play Ireland in the semi A defeat means we face Afghanistan as we'd finish 2nd on net run rate
topcat(The most tip top)
Oman finish on 135 after 20 overs If it takes Scotland more than 12 overs to win this then Oman go through to the playoffs ahead of Hong Kong on Net Run Rate. A win for Oman would see them top the group unless scotland's innings is high scoring and quick Scotland 115 All out from 15 overs would be enough to see Scotland top
