gaz5
Congratulations. AXS is a good shout for being more of a beast though, its basically the national currency of the Philippines at this point. Just constantly going up blurring the line between game coins and real world currency. Not one I've looked at but just had a quick glance. Certainly had a run! [emoji846]Might be a decent trade coming up on that one if you're in it. But not looked in super detail.

gaz5
What software is that on your phone? I don't have any charting apps... might be a good idea.Trading View.App for phone, PC and tablet and charts sync back to their cloud from any so you can access on all.I have a paid subscription as I use it every day (for bloody hours!) and I needed the additional indicators/layouts plus the notifications for the bots I was testing. But there's a free sub as well. Limited to a couple of layouts and 5 indicators max on any chart, so you can try it out.TV defo the best charting app around IMO.

Crypto isn't a special market. This shit happens everywhere, crypto included.By that measure it's a great example. But also, yes, no one should ever take trading/investment advice from people in an internet forum blindly. 100% agree.DYOR for the win.
DiegoDiego
Congratulations. AXS is a good shout for being more of a beast though, its basically the national currency of the Philippines at this point. Just constantly going up blurring the line between game coins and real world currency.AXS is another one I got off the back of Kevin Rose's podcast, though I dithered a bit and missed a fair bit of upside. It's around 3x at the moment. LUNA was another great idea I first heard from him. Nice.Hope you've taken a bit of risk off to lock something in. [emoji846]I've still got the SOL (actually a bit more as I've been staking it at ~6% through Exodus) but since buying it I've been plowing more funds (nothing I can't afford to lose) into investments, so as a percentage of my crypto portfolio it's only risen a few points. I'm ~75% BTC/ETH.
jamamafegan
I've had to set up a new bank account because unbeknown to me until last night, TSB have banned the buying of cryptocurrency "due to the high risk of fraud." Seems a rather dubious reason to take such a measure, one could argue that there is a high risk of fraud when buying anything online and that you do so at your own risk. Banks shitting themselves IMO. Pain in the arse that I will now have to act through a middle man bank account.
Kapowzer
To the naysayers, I really don't understand what your involvement is here. It's unlikely you are going to change the mind of many of us who are on the bus and we are unlikely to convince you to deposit your hard earned fiat into it. So what the aim? Is it to dissuade those new to it asking for advice or is it to have a "I told you so" in your back pocket to whip out in the future? Or is it you've now stated your position and you're now digging your trench because you need crypto to fail to get a wee ego boost that you were sooooo wise and astute. A few of you have came on here recently with your history repeating itself stuff and by all means there is probably an element of hype to aspects of it. It's also maybe doing a disservice to those of us who have researched this at great length and look for trends and tipbits of news on partnerships, adoptions and tie-ins to help steer our decision making. I have no desire to go onto a Hibs thread and tell them that Nisbet is crap and they should have sold him this summer ..... Just saying
SweeperDee
I’ve been watching this series that’s looking at crypto-casinos and it’s really putting me off the entire idea of crypto. Just seems like a very elaborate way to launder money.

Theres no way I was going to watch an hour long video about a subject I couldn't care less about, but from the bits I skipped through it seems that the blockchain allowed this 'investigator' guy to track all movements thanks to the blockchain explorers like etherscan. Which shows once again that nothing is hidden on the blockchain and all transactions can be tracked... it is is a bad option to utilise if you want to engage in illegal transactions. Would you prefer they did these transactions using offshore bank accounts and not be visible?

Just saying My scepticism is because of posts like this, and the link to his wee earner in his signature*. I get that gaz5 is putting the hours in, and with his previous investment experience is able to make a bit of profit, but some of the posts on here sound exactly the same as the Northern Rock "Panic Merchants" thread, or every Ponzi scheme in history, basically you're a mug if you don't buy. How many people do you think on here are going to watch screens all day to stay on top of market fluctuations and not risk losing every penny they've invested when the market goes south and nobody's buying? Fair point, but it was Fighting with My Family on Film 4 and I missed a crucial bit. So long as everyone explains the risks and complexity, fair enough, and I'll retreat to my home in the gambling forum, offering terrible tips.. Would you prefer they did these transactions using offshore bank accounts and not be visible? That’s the issue; Crypto-casinos are using countries like Curaçao (where gaming licences aren’t regulated at all) to funnel all the liquidity required. Blockchain doesn’t lie, you’re right, but what good is it if it’s separated into various whales, then ran through 100s of other wallets? It’s the same business with NFT’s as well; just seems like a convenient way for rich people to launder their money. ETA: That series is ran by him and another channel; it’s looking at how Casinos like Roobet are using laundered money to give to social media influencers to basically big up the company. It’s how “giveaway” YouTube channels can afford to “giveaway” lambos; it’s a clear con, and it’s using unregulated crypto to get away with it.
IrishBhoy
Has anyone came across this new breed of guys that think they are crypto experts after watching a few YouTube videos and sticking a grand into SHIB the day after it’s reached it’s all time high? There seems to be more and more appearing. A few new guys have started in my work and they literally have their phones in their hand with whatever trading platform they are using open 24/7, watching every rise and fall on a minute by minute basis. They sit and talk amongst themselves saying things like ‘I’m going to jump on X coin’ or ‘X coin is about to fly because…’. Ive done a fair bit of research into cryptocurrencies, helped by a few posters on here, and I would say I have a pretty solid understanding of it, and the technology that surrounds it. I am most certainly not an expert though and the last thing I would be doing is sitting in my work advising colleagues on financial decisions. One of the guys asked me if I’m ‘into crypto’ and I just said no. That’s not me being snooty, I just can’t sit and have a conversation with people so ignorant but have the confidence of Gary Vaynerchuk.
