HibeeJibee Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Maybe they see some mileage in Hearts/Hibs away games. It was normal for Sky etc. to show whichever of Rangers/Celtic were away but the next stop was often Hearts/Hibs/Aberdeen away. There'll be a few Rangers aways left, too - they'll play 18 but Sky-ESPN only got 15, and showing their flag-day makes it 14.
7-2 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Even if it's a minority channel. here's hoping the BBC are going to remember what they're actually here for and cover the lower leagues outwith the obvious bigger sides. Their English counterparts lower league coverage is excellent but they aren't basically a subsidiary of Rangers Media. I'd expect Albion Rovers will get coverage given they're going through a little media darling phase. Handy for Glasgow too of course.
HibeeJibee Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Given the main purpose of Alba's football coverage is to artificially inflate their watching figures, you imagine viewership will be the main driver. Maybe also set-up costs, i.e. grounds with infrastructure already installed.
South Lanarkshire Jag Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Is the ALBA live games in the Championship/League1/League 2 in addition to the 35(?) delayed Premiership games?
