Nigel Pearson in being a c**t shocker...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31900608

Nothing wrong with that.

he was asked a question and he gave an answer, reporters are dicks at the best of times, what you find is that reporters push & push & push a particular question to a manger, to get him to say something slightly controversial, then they jump all over it to make it a bigger story than it is.

Except that reporter wasn't being a dick.

And after now seeing it, Pearson didn't give an answer. He said "No." to something which wasn't a yes or no question, which clearly had the entire room baffled.

I think reporters should all just totally press him like f**k from here on in over everything.

Poyet and the Sunderland board having a meeting today, looks ominous for him. Can't see any other solution but to fire him, saw a few Mackems saying they were basically tripping over discarded season cards on their way out the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Enough is enough.

He is gone http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31902933

Sunderland just look a complete mess. One of these sides I'd be happy to see go down and not return for a long time.

Why is Glenn Hoddle linked with every job in England? This is the guy who was pretending to hold a microphone on ITV at an England friendly.

Tbf, Hoddle's only been linked with jobs since he left QPR after 'Arry resigned. As a free agent and former England and Chelsea manager, he is available and might agree short-term deal. Most clubs will not let Sunderland talk to their manager so close to the end of the season.

Sam Allardyce has been also mentioned as he's out of contract at the end of the season. West Ham seem to be in no hurry to offer him a new deal even though they are mid-table. Another decent shout would be Brentford's manager, Mark Warburton, who is leaving at the end of the season despite them being in the play-offs.

Sunderland is a good day out, Saturday certainly was.

46,000 there on Saturday, they just don't match that support base on the field and haven't done since the days of Kevin Phillips. Would be a shame to see the Tyne-Wear derby go, its the best in England in my view.

There was about half that number remaining at the final whistle!

I think of Sunderland as a bit like Hibs. Seem to be percieved as a far bigger club than they actually are, and have done virtually nothing for their entire existance. Both seem very difficult clubs to manage. It's probably pretty hard to attract players to the North-East, and even if you can any good player is going to pick Newcastle over Sunderland, so they're kind of left with the dregs like Lee Cattermole. They'll get someone in who'll probably keep them up, have a poor season next year and in a years time they'll be looking for another manager.

We're a massive club, thanks. 8)
