Celtic deserve all they get. Between them the OF deliberately weakened the league to keep the CL money for themselves. The majority of the league money being split between the top two, the farcical levy of a 5% handling charge on away tickets. The buying up of anyone half decent from within the SPL to just in case any side managed to threaten their stranglehold on the CL money. The fact that we had two spots in the CL at one point and we are now reduced to one spot which has to pass 3 qualifying stages tells it's own story. The league has been weakened so comprehensively we cant even get a sponsor.

Decent players wont come here because there is no challenge, the only thing the OF can do is throw money at them and in truth they'd get more money in the Championship and a better level of competition.

A 6-1 pumping and a banner without a spelling mistake Legia>Celtic ^_^

And it's not even their first language FFS :P

They suggest 1 is greater than 6, they start a sentence with a subordinate clause ('because') without any main clause in the rest of the sentence and their second sentence is a fragment.

These basic errors, added to their gross misunderstanding of the situation to which they refer, make it a really poor banner only redeemed by its massive size and an impressive cartoon pig.

Legia blaming Celtic for a mistake they made which brought a decision from Uefa to expel them is tear-stained, clutching at straws behaviour. Both from officials of the club and their fans.

If it winds up a few of the scheme goblins among the Celtic support, though, then I'm all for it.

The European Cup was destroyed as a potential fairytale moment for smaller clubs the moment the league system was introduced. It was engineered and designed to keep smaller clubs from progressing and ensure that armchair viewers are catered for and not club fans (unless you are a fan of one of the big guns).

There's absolutely nothing wrong with two leg ties and a good old fashioned draw with no seeds after the qualifiers.

Everything else is to ensure the big clubs get more money spinning ties each season ....

Unfortunately the smaller clubs that qualify now will never get the benefit of a run due to luck of the draw, player suspensions, injuries and other teams doing the giant killing acts .... the league is 'theirs' to weed that out.

Ruined it if you ask me ...

^^^^ if Celtic had qualified he would have no doubt been boasting about how his club were in the greatest club tournament in the world .

Didn't Motherwell sign up to the agreed rules? Even without rangers the old SPL decided it didn't want to change the voting harem

My favourite one has always been the "you only buy players to weaken other clubs" paranoid nonsense

So it's Celtic fault the league can't get a sponsor? Aye very good

Some clubs need to take a look in the mirror before trying to put the blame in others

So it's Celtic fault the league can't get a sponsor? Aye very good. Who hires Doncaster? Yip, all the clubs, including Motherwell

Agree to an extent, there should be something in place that means a % of any European prize money is given to the FA for general development of the game in the domestic country. I disagree that they buy up half decent players from Scotland. Celtic at least, haven't done that for quite some time.

The biggest problem with Scottish football is the constant comparisons with the English game, despite there being very little basis for any comparison ever being favourable on Scotland. We are a 10th of the size of England, of course we are going to have less.

Perhaps if the media hadn't bought into David Murray's "10er for every 5er" spending policy and put pressure on other teams to do the same, it might not have hit the levels it did a few years ago. Despite this years European results, the domestic game is healthier than it has been for a while.
