1320Lichtie
A cup that non premier league teams can win is a good idea - screwed up by adding colts teams and non-Scottish teams. Agree with Ecto but agree with this too, it’s just been very badly revamped.

All in the name of looking to shoehorn in Septic and Sevco Colts into the leagues. And the addition of the non scottish teams is to distract us from the colts as the extra TV money is meagre at best.

stan3600
Good to see 6 colts teams out already- 2 through from beating other colts teams. Only league team to lose to colts so far the mighty Clyde. [emoji23]

lichtgilphead
Aye, isn't there a story about Barry Ferguson taking the 1st ream training outside Broadwood while the youths & groundstaff took on a Colts team?

Yeah. But after looking looks like it was a mixture of first team guys and subs! [emoji51] Just hope there’s no injuries tonight and Hester or McCord can bag a goal Also, fair play to everyone that travelled up

lichtiekev
Managed to watch penalties from a reporters broadcast, good to be through but long way to go for the boys midweek, hopefully picked up no knocks and are fully fresh for Saturday

lichtie23
Poor performance overall, fell out the game after we scored. Danny Denholm and Finn Graham struggled throughout. Darren Hill the hero
timlichtie
A patchy performance. Better team in the first half but faded in the second. Elgin brought on Sutherland and Lowden and got the equaliser from a set piece. A draw was a fair result. Hilly the hero.

Bobby did hit it straight at him , though!
SimonLichtie
Thought last night was a fairly average game over the piece - level at full time probably fair over the 90 minutes. Obviously considering the changes we made and the way we approached the game there's no point in analysing the starting 11/ subs etc. as it was simply a case of getting our bench players game time. I felt last night was an opportunity for the bench players to show why they should be starting every week and unfortunately none of them really managed to fully impress, with Pongo maybe slightly above the others due to some of his passing which we all know he is capable of. I was slightly disappointed with Finn Graham, as this was his opportunity to really show everyone what he could do and he had a very average game against League 2 opposition. He's definitely a player, and showed that in his last few years at Brechin, but he needs to take opportunities like yesterdays. Also really hope Danny Denholm can get his form/ confidence back ASAP, while I don't think he had a particularly bad game last night, he's miles off where he was this time last year and has really struggled to start this season yet. As we all know he's a superb player at this level on his day, and hopefully he can get back to the level he was playing at previously ASAP.
