Hammerafc
A lose lose for both sets of fans and the club. I'm sure Kilmarnock would have brought a large support on the Saturday and also a lot of their fans will now miss out on a fixture that they would have wanted to attend.
kilMARKnock
Shocking decision and as you say they shouldn't be allowed to have both games live. The thought of some great away days softened the blow of relegation and so far its been a pile of pish with TV and wee nippy fucking over football fans for no scientific reason. The poor return from TV wont help the local economy or the club instead of a couple of thousand extra through the turnstiles. clashcityrocker
Does anyone with genuine inside knowledge know what went wrong with the negations between Arbroath and Falkirk for Dowds - his loan period was up, but both the player and Dick Campbell were keen to sort out an Arbroath move - but late last week any proposed deal with Falkirk collapsed. I think Dowds will be extremely difficult to replace, we all knew Nouble was going back to Live, but I think we were confident a deal would have been done to keep Dowds - looks like any deal for Dowds to return this season has gone. However, we are still very much in the mix, Arbroath have suffered only 3 league defeats all season - no team has lost so few matches in this league. We also have the highest goal scoring record and arguably the best defence in the league. Still all to play for and of course we are top of the league.

All to play for yeah but Dowds and Nouble helped both the goals for and goals against column. Remember the start of last year, actually playing quite well but we could never get the ball in the net when we were on top, so when you lose a goal it’s hard to take and affects morale as a team and squad. With they 2 there was more than a belief we would score we just knew we would. Still got to see what DC does though he’ll have a budget and his targets.

LoonsYouthTeam
That's Steven Doris retired, never worked out for him with us but a good player for you in his time.

Such a shame, was a brilliant player for us at his best. Never fully recovered from his injury v Albion Rovers in 2017. Unlikely to ever see another Arbroath player better his 3 titles won at the club, add in scoring the equaliser at Celtic Park and he had some career for us. A shoe-in for the next “wall of fame” intake, get his brick made now.

Tattie36
Does that just leave Swankie as the last player still playing from the 2011 title winning team? Just remembered Josh Falkinghan is still playing for Harrogate. What a partnership Doris and Swankie were that season. End of an era. Just remembered Josh Falkinghan is still playing for Harrogate. What a partnership Doris and Swankie were that season 20+ goals each. End of an era.Darren Hill still plays for Syngenta in the EOS league I think. Had a quick look on Wikipedia and only other member of that team still playing seems to be Mark Durban at Alloa.
