Left winger who Rodgers converted to a LWB, Celtic fans reckon he's miles from being good enough but that's not really proof of anything. We had Darnell Fisher come with similar reviews and after a rough first few months (genuinely some of the worst performances I've ever seen) he settled in and won a move to Preston. Be prepared for him to be caught out of position a lot. In days of yore playing full back was the easiest position on the park (unless you were up against a winger out of your class). Basically you kicked the guy in front of you then moved the ball on to someone who could play. Now it's one of the tougher gigs, physically and mentally. Most clubs expect them to cover a huge amount of ground and their positioning relative to the central defenders and midfielders is always tricky. DEEJANGO
What's Fozzy up to these days? There's a quality LB.Think he’s still with Derby.......quality left back indeed would love him back.

Just saw that he started on the bench for them last week, came on at half time and set up their goal. He'd be added to the queue for deepthroats if he resigned.

DigOutYourSoul
McCann confirming no signings today and says there’s no real interest in Kenny M. Barrage of questions from the press about his playing style and pressure he’s under but he’s talking about the second half of the season already.

Which is why I keep saying we should be playing with a back three and pushing ours up the park as wingbacks. We have an abundance of capable Center halfs, so it makes sense to use them and give our less that stellar fullbacks less responsibility. It's just further exposing a weakness trying to play with a four at the back. Another reason I've totally given up on McCann ever figuring it out.

I really thought McCann was going to go with a 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 when he was signing folks in the summer. Think we'd need to bring in more cover in defence if we were to now tho (or rely on Jeffries & O'Dea) but it'd definitely give us the width we were missing in some of the games. I'd go with either - Parish Gense Meekings Caulker Cammy/Curran Ralph Madianga Kamara Ngwatala Kallman Mendy or Parish Gense Meekings Caulker Kamara Deacon Madianga Gowser Ngwatala Kallman Mendy

The first team was exactly how I thought we’d line up at the start of the season and really like the look of the team. Still think we might revert to it when everyone is fit as it could be a cracking team.

Think the second could work too as a more attacking option, since we did play Deacon as a WB/winger last season. I shoehorned Elton in to left wing to make room for Gowser but Ralph could still go there and we either drop McGowan or play Ngwatala as a 10 behind Kallman.

It's all just wishful thinking though coz we'll be still be playing a narrow 442 I'd guess.
