I don't mind the £60k part tbf. That's fair. It's the suspended aspect and the criteria round it and the television costs.
RossBFaeDundee
Vote no on banning artificial pitches, rip the pitch up and put in our own plastic one, just to piss people off. Sick of this nonsense, to threaten such a heavy fine for one postponement next season is absurd. Edited April 18 by RossBFaeDundee

Exactly, facing a further fine if there is a single postponement is a joke. So we could have the best record for avoiding postponements next year with only 1 when others have 2 or 3 and yet we'd be fined for it? Makes sense.

If anyone else has to postpone one single game are they going to receive a fine? If we upgrade our pitch accordingly we are no different to anyone else. It's an absolutely farcical condition to set on the club.
DeeTillEhDeh
Another case of c**t FC whinging and these wankers getting their way. Should take this further.

Bigmouth Strikes Again
Take these clowns all the way Nelms, that's a fucking disgrace, also worth noting the Aberdeen game was also wrongly called off due to the incompetence of SPFL's 'official' David Munro. f**k the **** and the SPFL.

It's not if there's a single postponement - it's triggered if there's a single waterlogged postponement. The DFC statement is quite clear about that. If you fix your drainage then you're fine. You can postpone games for other reasons if you like. Genuine question, as I don't know the answer, how many other top flight clubs had a league postponements this season because of waterlogged pitches?

Well, no, fixed drainage doesn't mean the pitch will never be waterlogged. There's many examples down the years of clubs with (ostensibly) adequate drainage having waterlogged pitches due to extreme weather. The fact we could still be punished even if the pitch and drainage are brought up to SPFL standards doesn't seem right. 3 minutes ago, capt_oats said: Genuine question, as I don't know the answer, how many other top flight clubs had a league postponements this season because of waterlogged pitches? Ross County v Hibs was postponed just before Christmas for a waterlogged pitch.

101
Hope they chase the SPFL here, clearly the match was playable on the Wednesday ahead of the Old Firm. Which wasn't tried due to Rangers.

tam the bud
Don't know how much it cost a club when they need to postposed a game close to k/o, but that must have cost the club plenty over the season. Add in the fine and it been a costly issue for the club. Spoiler
RandomGuy.
The fine is quite clearly down to the investigation being unhappy about Dundee explanation for the issues and how they've tried to resolve them previously. The hefty future fine is a scare tactic to try and ensure it's not half arsed this Summer and is actually sorted. I'd be stunned if you have to pay the fine if the SPFL are happy with the work taken this Summer and other games are postponed the same day/weekend. It'll be a lot more nuanced than it's being presented. Dundee as a club seem desperate to get fans pointing fingers everywhere but at them. -

It's been suggested Dundee asked for that day to be missed too, to help the pitch recover and help them get pitch covers sorted.
