Humf
Wtf is going on at Dens? We've not signed anyone for a week now!! Hartley out!!! He obviously heard the administration tractors rumbling from Perth and thought he'd lay low for a bit before confirming ikechi anya and the boy higdon. And probably Bob Harris because he's not been mentioned yet

Deefiant
Tele has us as offering S. McGinn, Irvine and McAlister new one year deals. Excellent news. Hopefully all 3 sign said deals. Not too sure about j-Mac with all the rumours but he's a good squad player.

Don't know if he has a Mrs or kids etc but can't be easy leaving them down south for half a season.

Deefiant
I'd much rather John McGinn. I would have as well before this season.... Not getting the love for John McGinn - seems to be all reputation as his performances this season have been abject.

Moo
I think Cammy Kerr will go on loan again next year, hopefully the championship with Irvine being backup for left and right back after his performances this season.
K.T
You forgot Tankulic too.
Deestruction
Roberts? Boyle but seems he's off. Added Roberts, had forgotten about Low! Boyle isn't contracted and to my knowledge no offer yet, so left him off.

Deefiant
Could say exactly same thing about Stephen to be honest Sent from my iPhone using Pie & Bovril mobile app Main difference being one has potential (which looks to be wavering) while the other has pedigree. There's a whole different argument about which people prefer. I'd rather pay nothing for pedigree than 300k for potential considering where our club are at the moment. Essentially 1 is a possibility for Dundee, the other isn't so no point in comparing them like for like anyway. S. McGinn hadn't played all season until he signed for us. I think it's fair to say he was well off the pace and ended the season still off the pace. Pre season will be a big factor - a 1 year deal makes sense. He's only 26 so the length of deal probably suits both parties. Play well he can move for a small fee/nothing to a bigger team, if he is average/does a job it can be extended at dens, if he bombs we can punt him.

He played what 10/15 games he certainly shouldn't be off the pace after that. Doesn't look interested at times. I would certainly prefer it if we looked elsewhere. DieDee
Ferry to retire or be loaned out surely. Still too many CM. Thought S.McGinn showed good potential when he arrived but if he can't be arsed then why should we be. Save the money and ensure we get a better CH (rumoured we are getting one)
Ludo*1
Don't think we have too many CM's tbh. I'd agree if we played your standard 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 but we don't. We play a formation that is narrow and relies on wing-backs for width, so unless Hartley changes this, which I don't think is likely, then we need more CM's than average and I think if we sign-up McGinn that'll be that. McAlister will probably be signed as rotational player all over the pitch rather than being pigeon-holed in CM despite that being his strongest position.
DieDee
We've not really had enough quality this season to play 2 up front but with Tank, Hemmings and Loy I can see 442 or 4132 being the norm
