Did you really vote No?

I'm constantly asking my folks how they voted in '79.

You really need to move on Confi, or at least change the record.

Lie to yourself. It doesn't bother me. The shame will kick in one day. People will be embarrassed with how you voted.

A bigger mess in a week? That suggests that a Yes vote would have sorted out the mess pronto if things can change that quickly.

So several years after being given tax varying powers, control of health and education spending etc etc etc, we should be f**cking leagues ahead of the rest of our British cousins then?

We are aren't we? If that's a no, then what have they been doing?

If its a Yes then what we are getting our knickers in a twist for?

Democracy eh! Great when you get what you want, but if you don't there's always conspiracy theories, revolution and whingeing.

It is a mess and you know it. The English, especially the right, are not happy about more powers for us. After being warned about every catastrophe possible with a Yes vote, are things really better after No?

As to NHS - it was always devolved from the start.

So, what new powers are we gonna get and when? I reiterate this as according to Better Together's vow, a timetable was due to be presented to parliament on Sep 19.

The no voters here sound really bitter.

Ironic, given that we were the losers.

Is it because they know the UK is a basket case? Is it because they know they were lied to? Is it because they know the indy agrument aint gonna go away - unless devo max is delivered, which will only postpone it for a while?

Given all the dire warnings of austerity and cuts to Scotland's budget, can the naysayers here honestly say that we will be better off after a no-vote? And, how is the Tory/Ukip thing shaping up? Will we still be in the EU after 2016?

Well it was a little white lie about asking them all the time. I'm not sure why I'd feel shame, say it all goes horribly wrong and we get your doomsday prediction, the very worst I would feel would be duped. Shamed, no, I'm guessing you would feel smug and pleased then if we end up going down the toilet ? Your approach to this whole issue is extremely fundamentalist, and nobody likes a fundamentalist, they really are no fun.

The English. The reason for all our troubles.

Who will the bogey man be in an independent scotland?

Post no vote and the UK is in a bigger mess than before. So much for uncertainty... England is boiling. They want more powers but both Tory and Labour are trapped with the right-wing and Ukip are making hay from it.

Meanwhile, we're fighting a new war even though our economy is fckd.

Up in North Britain, the losers are gaining support in numbers that the others can only dream of. The SNP from our 5million folk has half the membership of the Tories from the entire UK.

Heard today that one quarter of no-voters will back Yes if devo max isn't delivered.

How is that Vow going...?

Who you hear this of the Postman or milkman? Was it the same guy who said Yes was going to win the vote

Are you sure you're just the 19th worst P&B poster in history? I can't imagine 18 worse than you.

There's going to come a time for the younger No voters when their kids and grandkids ask the question: "Mum/Dad/Gran/Grandpa how did you vote in the Scottish referendum?". I suspect that's when the burning shame will kick in.

Just a pity that those with Grandkids today couldn't really give a f**k.

Mate it's been almost two weeks since you lost get over it. Surely the tears haved stopped by now?

No-one will be bothered about any of this in a few months time.

I think you're wrong actually. It might be that it quietens down a bit, but there will be massive swings at the next general election for pro-independence parties.

I can't see myself voting Conservative, Labour or Lib Dem again after all of this and I'm not what you'd call one of the more militant yes voters.

Do you not feel a little duped already?

Not in the slightest, I'm happy enough with where we are, the UK ain't perfect but show me a country that is ? As I said, like many I wasn't voting NAW for more powers or Devo Max etc, although now we're supposed to be getting them I can actually see a use for the Scottish Parlie for the first time in years. These new powers will need to be sorted properly and I don't anticipate them being rushed through. If for any reason no new powers come Scotlands way then I'll be pissed off but not for the lack of powers, more that we would have been lied to, then I might feel duped.

Fair enough.

Keep telling yourself that

I would imagine that a lot have moved on already. The protest voters have done their job, the street stalls have gone, the shift for most will be on devo max (and for a percentage of the yes vote no doubt will have been ones wanting devo max so they'll be happy). The fringe will keep muttering but the shit storm that is no doubt about to come will drown everything out, I'm sure.

Definitely. I think there'll be an embarrassment factor too. That whole World media/business conspiracy story that was drummed up was beginning to isolate us and most people knew that. The more discerning Yes voters will look back on that with a bit of annoyance that they allowed themselves to be conned.
