Confidemus
Definitely. I think there'll be an embarrassment factor too. That whole World media/business conspiracy story that was drummed up was beginning to isolate us and most people knew that. The more discerning Yes voters will look back on that with a bit of annoyance that they allowed themselves to be conned. I think "keep telling yourself that" should be the standard response for deluded No voters.
boabinoban
I would imagine that a lot have moved on already. The protest voters have done their job, the street stalls have gone, the shift for most will be on devo max (and for a percentage of the yes vote no doubt will have been ones wanting devo max so they'll be happy). The fringe will keep muttering but the shit storm that is no doubt about to come will drown everything out, I'm sure. But there is no mention of DevoMax, probably because this includes full fiscal autonomy, which WM very obviously don't want. All that has been promised is, well nothing really. Absolutely zero has been promised. I would imagine quite a lot of people would be happy with DevoMax but it's not on the table and it wasn't on the ballot paper. Apparently this was enough to sink the entire yes campaign if you believe the mourners.

Well, whatever additional powers come, which they will, will no doubt satisfy many, apart from the fringe.
Banterous
I think "keep telling yourself that" should be the standard response for deluded No voters. I don't care. The referendum was lost and most people want us to stay in the Union. I don't need to tell myself that.... As for my prediction that interest will wain and support for independence will fall, I think already people are annoyed with Salmond. Reynard
I think "the vow" lost us votes tbh No way of tellling. Its pretty much what the plucky losers have fixated on as a reason for defeat. That, and blaming old folks.

I think it's more than a fringe that's wanting at the very least DevoMax. And if that isn't forthcoming I can see it getting nasty. Again it's more than a fringe that already feel fucked over by the UK establishment even before the referendum, then hours after it feel even more shafted already. This does not bode well for any kind of stability, which should surely be the number one aim of all parties involved.

You can disseminate it all day and look at it from different angles etc etc. I can do that too but the fact is the vote was lost fair and square. Do you support Celtic? Unleash The Nade
Sorry, but in the run up to the referendum, I seem to remember both sides using the phrase " Let the people of Scotland decide...". For the life of me I can't remember any of the following " Let the minority of the people of Scotland decide...". " Let the people of Scotland decide, as long as they vote Yes...". " Let the people of Scotland who shout the loudest decide...". " Let the people of Scotland decide, as long as they're a certain age...". " Let the people of Scotland decide and if its not to our liking, we'll keep moaning like f**k about it for evermore...". " Let the people of Scotland who say its best to vote Yes on Pie & Bovril decide ...". The people of Scotland did decide and the decision was to remain part of the UK. Get over it for f**k sake
Scotland voted NO!
Up in North Britain, the losers are gaining support in numbers that the others can only dream of. The SNP from our 5million folk has half the membership of the Tories from the entire UK. Heard today that one quarter of no-voters will back Yes if devo max isn't delivered. How is that Vow going...? where do you begin with this comedy? the snp are gaining loads of new members from folk, who, er, voted yes.. and you heard that a quarter of no voters will vote yes if new powers aren't delivered? who did you hear that from? A mate who spoke to 4 guys in the pub?
