MangoBroccoli
Albino Rover - Boring. The sort of guy who'd steady the ship for a few months after a leader had resigned before someone better took over. itzdrk - Has some reasonably policies, but looks like he sleeps under a bridge. SodjesSixteenIncher - Dece, although some policies may have to be toned down a little to appeal to the mainly undece electorate. Mostly agree. "Boring" is a concise description of Albino Rover , but slightly harsh IMO. He has fallen into the trap of trying to please all of the people all of the time through safe and uncontroversial strategies. Personally, I'd like to see this leader go out on a limb and let slip the dogs of war, as it were, by introducing daring policies and displaying ministerial cojones. I'd argue that the party needs a brutal injection of dynamism; quite frankly, the proletariat demands a party effusing flair, verve, and finesse - qualities that should be evident in a faction styled after the frenetic and frenzied Jurgen Klopp. I like the cut of itzdrk's jib, although IMO he's went too far with one policy (kicking the juniors out) and not far enough with another (allowing the Daily Record to remain in circulation) I have to declare an interest here and say I enjoy junior football. I've always been of the opinion that you get more bang for your buck at the semi pro matches. However, there's clearly signposts at the door of that particular subforum indicating that correct and scrutable grammar and punctuation is prohibited upon entering. The idea that P&B should sponsor an SPFL side is genius IMO. It should be viewed as the first step towards establishing a bona fide Pie & Bovril FC, resulting in press conferences taking place on the boards with earnest journalists and opposition managers, ultimately leading to tear-stained meltdowns in the national press: "Craig Levein was left a snottery mess on the verge of tears yesterday, after being labeled a 'cockwomble' and 'an absolute hatstand'" (all in Gaelic obvs) Certainly a party that's going places with some bold ideas. Finally, while I'm neither pro-#dece nor anti-#dece, I do believe SodjesSixteenIncher (now part of my autocorrect) has served up a slice of fried gold with some frank and laconic promises, particularly allowing fit women to attend Scottish football matches for free (although I live in Kilmarnock so we'll need to bus the women in from somewhere.) As far as TV shows go, I'd gladly trade Sportscene to Sky if it meant we got Game of Thrones for free. I'm especially looking forward to the motion whereby breaking the law is known as #breachofthedece I joined this forum in September last year so the #dece movement has been ever-present in my time. There's no denying the strength of this particular movement and you can bet your last DECEbomb that SSI will be engaging that groundswell. Whether it transfers to the cold currency of votes remains to be seen, but this party is the runaway favourite (ITPO) Looking forward to seeing this play out. Especially looking forward to wild and baseless allegations of scaremongering, Project FEAR, and Confidemus comfortably outposting everyone else by at least few hundred entries. There's a lot of energy and a lot of hustle out there on all three fronts and, since I have no formal affiliation, I'd like to wish everyone all the best. 11th, 12th, 13th November are all marked in my calendar, but there's a long way to go until Wednesday the 19th... itzdrk
Yes, because you seem upset at all of Junior Football because of what the big bad Whitletts boys did to the little Ayr supporter. Can i count on your vote though sir?
MangoBroccoli
So I am going to go and be uber dull and post a detailed breakdown on my thoughts. Based on this dullness I am sure you guess who I will support before I even get start! First up there is Itzdrk, the man with a party that doesn’t even have a name yet. At first glance there are some pretty reasonable policies, the removal of junior football is sure to be a crowd pleaser but if you look deeper into it I am unsure of what he actually expects to do. I mean does it involve the association or the actual teams themselves? Does it mean just ban them from any involvement with the SFA or does it mean actually forcefully shut down all the clubs and the junior association? My worry is that he just means not letting them take part in any SFA or other football related body in Scotland. Without some more details behind it I just think it may just be all for show and it won’t actually do anything to really get rid of this scourge within our game. The Daily Record in Gaelic, if he had put forward the idea of shutting the paper down then fine, but printing it in Gaelic just seems like some sort of torture for the Rangers fan who normally read it. I am not sure the NHS could cope with their breakdowns when they realise their favourite rag isn’t written in the Queen’s English anymore. I like the NHS too much for this and I haven’t even mentioned the effect it could have on the many down trodden women across the country who may also suffer. Sponsoring an SPFL side is actually something I really support on paper, but I worry it could lead to severe infighting and rebellion depending on what team was chosen. I think it would need to be a team everyone liked such as Kilmarnock but I am sure that can be worked on. I like a fair amount here but I am just not sure I believe it will really be delivered. Next up there is Albino Rover who at first comes across as someone boring, dull and interesting. Serious when I first read his beliefs I almost fell asleep on my chair. However, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and read his later comments and actually think it is good to see how active and thoughtful he is trying to be. In regards to football, well everyone loves to see more inclusion of the fans in our game unless your name is Michael Johnston of course. I am hoping we can see some real ideas here in the future including perhaps the ability for fans to remove evil dictators who just want to fleece your club for money. Either way, it is something I can really get behind. His media thoughts are all made with the best of intentions but I just don’t see it being cost effective. It is all very well trying to spread out the work to the regions but who the hell is going to pay for it all? Print media is dying and the TV companies treat Scotland as a region anyway so I don’t see them wanting to delve down any further. Perhaps he is talking about promoting new companies or going into social media and the internet. I don’t know but at the moment I am not sure his ideas here have any real chance of succeeding but I suppose I could still try and support them depending on where they get taken. His final post on P&B initially scared me as it was portrayed as punishing people who are “poor” which could of course mean anything. At first I thought he was on about targeting some of the mentally handicapped trolls out there or maybe the Old Firm fans and punishing them straight off the bat. However, his more detailed breakdown does add a little bit more information with some elements to actually promote good positing and a sin bin style system for the idiots out there. As you can see on the whole I quite like the policies here but I do worry about the rather un-exciting patter that is put forward. However, if Albino can through in the odd populist policy to supplement these core principles then it could have a good chance. Also the odd advert with scantily clad women and a tour of Mumsnet by him and his party may help as well. Finally we have SodjesSixteenIncher whose party appears to be dedicated to populism gone mad. Everything seems fun, exciting and ‘dece’ but at the same time it all appears a bit to light on real chance and I can see things going quickly to shit. Fit women for free at matches, superb but I worry about some of the people that may be classed as fit. For example, in Ayr I know that the image below is a “fit” woman but no normal human would have thought so Can you imagine the TV cameras at some of our more dodgy cities showing a stadium full of “fit” women from the local community? I shudder at the thought. Good TV shows being free on terrestrial TV is ha horrid idea. Putting the good shows on Sky ensures that people are forced to pay stupid subscription fees which keep my wife securely in a job at Sky. In addition the Livingston area would be devastated by the job losses and the place is depressing enough as it is. As for maintaining ‘dece’ standards on P&B, can’t disagree with that one but I would like to know how he plans to do it. His first element regarding the usernames being up for debate is superb but at the same time I worry these morons could quite easily enjoy them as sort of misguided “badge of honour” So a lot of populist commitments but I think we could end up seeing a society develop much like Ayr has but on a grander scale which leaves me with nightmares. So there is really only one party which had the least “issues” for me and that has to be Klopp. Ahhhh, you beat me by 10 mins and comfortably outperformed me too... :( Back to the Junior forum I go... Guest
I wonder where itzdrk will get his votes from. There's no doubt that all the alphas on this forum will be voting Dece, with all the shit flinging betas and beige "this forum isn't what it used to be" cretinous irrelevances going Klopp. That doesn't leave a lot of room for The You Seem Upsets, and I worry that the attitude of "a vote for itzdrk is a vote for Klopp" will push him down to third rather than the second he deserves. The You Seem Upsets seem all set to be the Lib Dems of this election, pre-Clegg era when they weren't c***s obvs. Decent sounding policies but perhaps not quite enough credibility this time around. The Ginger Prince
I don't want to tread on any of ma Bois feet, but I too am interested in a role in the Dece party, perhaps as deputy unless anyone else feels strongly about that role? I feel my dedication to the Dece cause since day one gives me the experience needed to advance our position even further. I also have mad respect for all the Dece ladz and won't argue with the final desish. Itzdrk's party sounds decent, I'd hope that whether I'm involved or not there can be a good working relationship between the two. The other one sounds quite doss teebs. I was v.v.v. Interested in the posish of #DECEdeputy but on reflection feel that I'd be doing the party a massive disservice if it was given to me ahead of ma boi EGB who has been schooling P&B on the manifesto of #DECE longer than I have been. Whatever desish #theSodj makes I will back 100 #percent. #DECE.
Fudge
Although it would be fantastic, it's sadly impossible to get rid of Junior football. If part of the Dece party, I would be push for my party to stop Junior sides entering the Scottish cup. To paraphrase a popular figure of speech, they shouldn't be allowed to have their shit AND fling it.

You sir are a gent, #dece and #decent which is an absolute must for the deputy leader of our movement (I prefer to call it a movement rather than a mere party). I will also be happy to work under your command should Sodje-EH pick you, likewise for any of the other Dece Bois. Seeing how literally all the biggest beta's have already aligned themselves to the Klopp's (or The Plopp's if 8-Mile has anything to do with it) shows us bros need that same unity regardless of the personnel involved. Fudge
Although beyond my (potential) remit, if I were a Dece Party member of the European Parliament I'd reintroduce the Cup Winner's Cup. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHurZkWzdlg

Guest
Another sad reflection that the young, naive Dece Party will believe anything they read and bite at any bait. All bravado and gung-ho, but ultimately lacking the fundamentals to succeed. Education. Graft. Balls>>>Dece Party>>>Itzdrk Prejudice Party Do you actually think you'll be a player in this election? It would be political suicide from AR if he lets you in, he's probably already trying to work out how to make people forget his parties links to you and BarraJag in the early days. Sodje really just has so much talent to choose from, both in terms of depute and cabinet members and also 9's at his local nightclub. Enough on his Bois, the girls aren't bad either. IanW1874
Having read through the thread, I have some brief thoughts. The Dece Party has one policy that stands out - fit birds. I think we can all get on board with that but how is it decided? Where is the line drawn? When I first read the initial policies I was drawn to the Dece Party, but it's full of Hibs c***s and I'm not sure I can back a party with such allegiances. P&B sponsoring/running a football club is something that appeals massively and is something I would be willing to get involved with. I think it could cause more problems than it solves though. Is it going to be an Ebbsfleet type deal where members vote on the team selection or would we be taking more of a back seat? Scrapping junior football is somewhat controversial and I'm not sure I could support such a policy. Albino Rover has what I'd consider practical policies and that is the party I'm drawn to most. Going by the posts on this thread, they are the underdogs and everyone loves an underdog. Community involvement in football is very important and clubs should be doing more in this regard. He has taken an interesting approach to the media side of things and as journalism is something that interests me, I could see myself supporting that policy. I'm currently undecided, but am definitely leaning towards the Klopp Party.
forever_blue
Would the dece boys like to see the reintroduction of bevvy in the ground ? Would any party be interested in this ? Albino Rover
Miles, TRS, Sooks, Rich, Chris and BJ- thanks for your support gentlemen, you've been able to see through Sodje's Friends Only Party and the fascist YSU and back the only sensible party. I trust you, the undecided electorate to do the same. Some people are calling the Klopp Party boring. I call DavidMcG's initial description boring, and ask you to judge my party on our own words, which you'll be able to read for yourselves in our upcoming manifesto.
