Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Afternoon folks. Looking to buy a new MP3 player to replace one that was dropped in the toilet (don't ask). Would prefer not to buy an iPod as I'm not really a fan of apple products, and previously had a 16GB Sony E Series Walkman, which was excellent, so would be looking for something with a similar capacity, with a loudspeaker if possible. Any suggestions?
JogaBonito
If you're on a budget, get a sansa clip zip and a 32gb memory card (a 64gb card could even work but I'm not too certain); usually tons of deals for both on www.hotukdeals.com, fire rockbox on it and boom, nifty little thing. Use your phone for the mp4 side.
Uncle Psychosis
If you're on a budget, get a sansa clip zip and a 32gb memory card (a 64gb card could even work but I'm not too certain); usually tons of deals for both on www.hotukdeals.com, fire rockbox on it and boom, nifty little thing I've done exactly this, except I have the Clip+ and not the Clip Zip. Sansa Clip+, 64 GB memory card, rockbox. ( http://www.rockbox.org/ ) I now have a 72 GB mp3 player that cost me less than £50 all in (brand new) and is about the same size as a matchbox. Tom McB
Or get the Kubik Evo and a 32GB card. I've used one for 4 years now. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kubik-Player-Radio-Expandable-MicroSD/dp/B0041MMMWW/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1413476120&sr=8-14&keywords=sansa+clip+zip
jock001
My phillips go gear is about 5 years old now and has taken punishment that would break the titanium i-pods. However my suggestion would be to drop your old player in a bag of cat litter or the most absorbant stuff you have, leave it a couple of days and see if drying out has fixed your old kit. Just ordered a Sansa Clip Sport 8GB, plus a 32GB memory card for the princely sum of €78 (about £62). Many thanks for the advice lads, great shout on the sandisk players, looks absolutely ideal.
