Is that Fife elite? How does that work? Similar to what falkirk and stenhousemuir(?) do?

Maybe he's decided that given the strength of the division that the best way is to sit in and counter attack. I get why it's annoying though having watched many "functional" Hearts teams.

There's only about 150 tickets left for the Hearts end, which includes three full sections of the Roseburn. They'll be gone long before Saturday.

Any idea on what Raith's ticket sales are or how many you'll likely bring through come kick-off? It seems that you've been allocated roughly 1,000 if you need them.

Either way the attendance will be over 16,000. With a full or nearly full away end it will be more like 16,500-16,750. :)

Very unlikely to be a near-full Rovers end.

With some of our injured players starting to return (Hill and Elliot - the latter of which isn't anything to get excited about) Murray will be fresh out of excuses if we continue putting in performances reminiscent to last Saturday against Linlithgow. I suppose there's a chance Nade might be back from injury and minus our long term crocked players such as Barr, who hasn't kicked a ball this season for us, and Cuthbert would mean we've got nigh on a full squad to pick from. Haven't a scooby how many tickets we've sold but certainly seems quite a few are planning on giving this a miss for obvious reasons.

In a weird way I felt the games against the big three would be the games where we'd look fairly good (small team raising their game etc) but minus the 2nd half against Hibs we've been pretty much bent over and rodgered. After all the negativity surrounding our team as of late this is the kind of game where we'll do something mental and get a result.

Hill played again for the reserves tonight (in a 4-0 defeat by Forfar) but Nade wasn't involved. I can't see him making it for Saturday. I fear Elliot up front supported by Scott on Saturday.

Thanks for that, how does it work in terms of if a star striker comes through who has first dibs?

The clubs are still responsible for their own scouting and 'talent sourcing', and each player is registered to an individual club before they start playing for the academy.

I suppose it's a bit like the national team, in that sense.

Cheers, sounds like a good set up for you guys.

I have to echo most of the comments on here about our season, performances and manager. I was one who thought after the disastrous end to last season Murray should have gone, and I think he would have but for the Ramsdens Cup win.

As has been said we don't expect to be playing the most exciting brand of football in the UK and heading to places like Tynecastle and Ibrox expecting a result. What we want to see are decent performances and a indication that the manager knows what he's doing. This season so far, and most of last, they have both been severely lacking. Instead we are subjected to a manager who plays the same formation against Cowdenbeath and Alloa and against me to Rangers and Hearts and continues to have our limited centre backs punting long ball after long ball after long ball to our small strikers. And when that doesn't work...well we have no plan B just more of the same.

Saturday against Linlithgow was just embarrassing and all I've heard from Murray was "they gave us a fright", "all credit to Linlithgow" and "important thing is that we're through". Absolutely nothing to fans for the last 2 weeks of just shocking and unacceptable performances. So either he thinks it's all ok just now or he just can't discipline his team...either way he's just not up to the job.

I think this will be our forward line to. Once again we'll have zero pace in our team and punt long balls up front with Elliot doing his best Tom Daley impersonations all game.

I am heading to this for a few reasons, including the weekend it's falling on, but certainly not going for the actual football. I'm expecting 4 or 5 nil and to probably be back in the pub for 4.30.

Of course it's Hearts we're playing and so it's ok to show no heart, determination or pride in your play whilst making the same mistakes over and over again...that's the rules isn't it? That's what we keep getting told?

A few selection issues for us ahead of this one, with Patterson suspended, and Wilson and Carrick injured.

I expect it might be along the lines of:

Alexander

McGhee - Ozturk - McKay - Eckersley

Walker - Gomis - Buaben - Nicholson

El Hass - Sow

Subs: Hamilton, McHattie, Pallardo, King, Keatings, Holt, Gordon.

I think McGhee is more likely to partner Ozturk in the centre with Eckersley on the right and McHattie (presuming he is fit) on the left.

Yup.

I hope Pallardo starts instead of Gomis as well.

If he plays and is booked then he misses the Sevco game.

Has that actually been confirmed anywhere? I seen a few folk saying it wasn't the case as it would only be his 5th not 6th booking of the season.

How has Pallardo been for Hearts anyway? When I first saw that it seemed pretty incredible news on the part of Hearts.

I think he's only featured twice as a sub, as he has been working on his fitness, and had a wee setback with a thigh problem, I think.

I've only seen him in the flesh in a recent home game (against Dumbarton?), and he looked decent, but I would hope there's more to come.

I've maybe been looking too much into what seems like the general consensus on Kickback. Hopefully that's the case.
