D.A.F.C
Quite like the Size exclusive blue topangas but too similar to the recent Hawaii to warrant purchase for me. http://www.size.co.uk/product/adidas-originals-topanga---size--exlusive/018929/ Edited August 14, 2015 by D.A.F.C
D.A.F.C
A colleague came into work today wearing Adidas hi tops and a bright red Ellesse t-shirt. He's 36! Not bursting out laughing and not showering my laptop in spat coffee took quite an effort. Here's the fuckers! What you all think? ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1439416256.183632.jpg Everything about them is absolutely wrong. Maybe a city skater type in their early teens could pull them off?

Archie
I've just been in town and saw a fella in luminous yellowy green Hi tops. Several people turned in my direction as I blurted out "No way mate, get tae f**k. Unaware of the make as I was across the road from him.
Mr Rational
One of the drivers at work turned up in these today. Hi Tek are meant to make decent hill walking boots. I wouldn't have a problem with a pair if they were comfy. Also, fair play to them for still chucking trainers out, I thought they would have given up years ago!
#Gary
All hamburgs are vile apart from the green/yellow and blue/red ones that came out recently.

Also, fair play to them for still chucking trainers out, I thought they would have given up years ago! I've got a few pairs of walking boots. One pair (Berghaus) cost me £140, and another (Hi Tek) cost me £30. I walked probably the most difficult walk in my life in the latter, and it was a skoosh, doubt I would have managed it with the expensive pair!
die hard doonhamer
My most recent purchase, for the sum of £15, bargain.
Mr Rational
I've started a bit of rambling (I'm not calling it hill walking as its only up the Pentlands) and I've a pair of timberlands. Comfy as and they are fine what what they do. Only £50 in the sale, I don't care if they aren't proper hillwalking boots.

SweeperDee
Re-laced the Hamburgs with white ones. Definitely made the right choice.
houston_bud
Apologies if this is a really stupid question, but I'm needing to clean a pair of suede gazelles after a night out. I remember someone said sugar soap was good. Is the sugar soap that you would used to clean walls before painting alright, or do I need a specific type of sugar soap?
Boostin' Kev
Not sure but make sure you use as little water as possible when cleaning suede to avoid fading the colour too much.
Mr Rational
Yeah, I'm kicking about in my Gazelles just now, they are the West Ham colours. Totally faded but as comfy as anything, if you want to keep them like new, do not go anywhere near water and don't chuck them in the washing machine lol!

Sugar soap is okay, just follow the instructions. The latest thing seems to be the Sneakers ER brand but I haven't used it. Personally, the Kiwi Kids suede cleaner sorts mine right out and is only about three quid.
houston_bud
Cheers guys. Will probably just get some Kiwi Kids cleaner then.

Pour a kettle of boiling water over them and set about them with a brillo pad. You're welcome.

I cleaned up about 3 pairs of adidas for going on holiday, made a sugar soap mixture up, scrubbed them with a hard brush, them removed the excess water and dirt with a sponge, and them wiped them with a damp cloth, and left them to dry over night. Came out just grand. I've a pair of handball spezials that got covered in paint that I couldn't clean, but I'm going to contract a guy on facebook that does restoration stuff and see if could re-dye them for me.
