Iain
This part, maybe? Knowing and having been in Stephen Aitkens company on many occasions I can assure you he would and will be a great manager at a higher level. He has brought a more professional approach to our club which can easily be seen on and off the park. He has a good job outside football but has never hid the fact he strives to manage at a full time level. If offered , I'm not sure Ayr Utd would be the right choice for him but that's only my opinion .
young buck
Just saw George burley in the bogs at sainsburys in prestwick. Possibly for a interview as the man to steer 45 million pound Ayr United to the top 6. I didn't feel it appropriate to ask

Hawk89
Could they not find anywhere in Somerset Park more suitable to conduct a job interview than the bogs in Sainsburys? To be fair the bogs in Sainsburys are a cut above the ones at Somerset.

ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1419591482.135998.jpg They won't be talking pish, the prices change because people will be backing them, doesn't necessarily mean they are the front runners. I would take McCall though.
diegomarahenry
He'd be a bit of a wild card, been away from football management for a while, not sure if he has been involved with other aspects of the game wouldn't be in my top 5 to succeed Roberts
jagfox
McCall has been coaching kids in the Glasgow area. I was speaking to him at our 3-0 humping at Eggby Park at the start of the season and he is very keen to get back into management now. If he has sorted his off field issues he could be a decent appointment. Probably a better option than Stark but that isn't saying much.
ayrunitedfw
We have more than 30 applicants for the post. Vast majority of applications coming from managers based in Scotland but also 5 from managers based in Portugal, Italy and Eastern Europe Paulo Sergio anyone

BB_Bino
Ian McCall said on the Radio Clyde Phone In that he was back in the hunt to return to senior management again and to be honest, I think he'll be a good appointment for someone. Sure, his time at QoS & Partick didn't really go to plan, but every manager has a blip in their careers at this level. There were rumours doing the rounds that he applied for our job so I wouldn't be surprised if he has applied for the Ayr vacancy.
Blue-Orchid
Q&A on Stranraerfc.org with Aitken. He does mention other clubs and about full-time management. No mention of Ayr though. He seems to think there's only two full-time clubs in the league too.

Blue-Orchid
Andy Millen seems to agree with you Can't imagine his opinion is too credible given he was there with Roberts. PeterPrice
Was just having a look at the McBookie odds, and the favourites are as follows Billy Stark 1/1 Ian McCall 4/1 George Grierson 12/1 Darren Henderson 14/1 Stephen Aitken 14/1 A pretty harrowing list, also can anyone tell me who George Grierson is?
