Clyde vs Arbroath

Recommended Posts

Liam Rowan - The highly consistent Liam has moved confidently through the ranks to push for a regular place in the first-team but has suffered injuries at vital times in his career. Now fully-fit, the full-back loves to bomb forward and can be a real asset when creating chances from the right. Last season Liam continued to put in some impressive performances for the Under 20’s and was slightly unlucky not to be given the opportunity to fill in for Kieran Duffie during his spell on the sidelines. Liam’s father featured at Leicester City and Dumbarton many years ago so the youngster won’t be short of the odd bit of advice. 4 appearances in their 1st team so far.

Thomas Grant - Another Academy graduate, Thomas is an exciting young midfielder who blossomed in the Bairns first-team during season 2012-2013. Thomas started last season in great form scoring in a League Cup tie against Clyde at Recreation Park, however that was to be the best of the action for the midfielder after a virus floored him for the remainder of the campaign.. Having had a solid preseason under his belt Thomas will be keen to forget last season’s woes and hit the ground running this time round as he recovers from illness. Thomas is the son of former Aberdeen midfielder Brian Grant. 9 appearances in the 1st team this season.

Both sound promising.

Liam rowan I've not seen much of.....his only first team appearance was at tynecastle when we were 3-0 down... He was better than maybury but so am I......grant on the other hand if anything like fit will be amazing for youse...great set piece delivery..great late runs into the box ...two seasons ago mcgrandles & grant were the two most likely to succeed & we got 1 million quid for mcgrandles ...great player & also higher rated by us than Swansea squad regular jay Fulton

Hah, so he is better than a Swansea squad regular but instead of being in the falkirk squad has been sent on loan to Arbroath? Right you are. . .

Meh. Annoying as f**k looking at Nicoll/Crawford/Johnstone/McBride sitting there in the stand. Thought we were poor until we scored, looked half decent after that and unlucky not to score.

Sitting at that b*****ding roundabout and they c***s get a 93rd minute winner.

:bairn

When's the rearranged game v them?

Clyde better team in the 1st half and deservedly held the lead. We hooked the ineffective Lowdon and brought Stewart on which certainly improved our performance. Had enough chances to win the game in the end.

Impressed with Rowan and looks like he wants to get to the line. Shagger man of the match for me.

Geting bit late for decent results scottR96 great results required now his signings not good and not disrespectin murray and marko but if that ambitions to climb leagues then god help us ,fair play result not worse but y bring mcqueen on when 2 strikers on bench defies logic but so does fergusson

We Played well in the first apart from a few misplaced passes and clearances which nearly let Arbroath break away to score.

The second half was entirely different the longer it went on the worse we got and in the end we were lucky to come away with a point. We were practically camped in our penalty box for the last 15 mins and the subs brought on didn't help that by the end of the game we had 6 defenders on and nobody up front.
