East Fife v Clyde

Recommended Posts

Why is Barry Ferguson not playing for you guys? Surely even a half fit BF could cut it at this level? Did he not play in Ricksen's testimonial a few weeks ago or was I imagining things?

Right. Short and sweet. Yes he played the second half of the charity match, but could barely move after the first three or four bursts from midfield. He ended up shadowing Michael Mols after Tugay went on for Ronald de Boer, as he was clearly not 100%. This, in a friendly with mostly 40+ year olds, not half a dozen horrible little c***s looking to break his ankles at every turn (Ian McAuley proudly waving the boots that 'ended Charlie Nicholas' in front of the stand, anyone??). Boab 'f**k the partick' Malcolm on the other hand looked fairly mobile in comparison.

Clyde are the top dogs and we are the underdogs, will defo be a challenge so I hope the players give everything they've got, we need to keep this good run going and if we can beat Albion Rovers coming from behind a 1-0 lead to them thinking it will end in defeat to us, we can beat them, probably going for 2-1 with Fash and Dickson scoring.

No, he was released a while back. Not sure where he's at now.

In goal will either be Alan Fleming who we got preseason, or Jordan Miller who is on loan from Hearts

That's disappointing to see . Only a young kid and he performed superbly under pressure in the playoffs .

I thought Rooney was rubbish in that game. Obviously he had a massive impact with the penalty saves but his handling was shocking and his positioning none to clever. I'm not surprised he was released.

Fail to see why he'd even merit a mention. Cheeky little p***k, which i confess i likes, but was on the bench for a fuckin reason. For how well some of our ex-carthorses played, second leg in particular, they might as well have had Billy the Fish in goals. Alan Martin's the best goalie at this level in years. No one comes close. A win would be encouraging, a draw would be a marker for consistency. The key in getting out this mess. Added; This post coming from a Clyde EK Supporters Friday singalong session. And probably more here than going tomorrow*.

Daly, McCluskey and Ferguson didnt exactly make the penalty saves spectacular either with their woeful efforts. Not sure why this keeper is getting mentioned, he probably plays with someone like Campsie Black Watch now.

Last time I was there he was the culprit for all the stick from our fans cos of his age and being the f*nny in the pink , that's why I was asking if he still played .

And I'm saying he performed well under the pressure . So easy for a kid especially a keeper to f**k up (which we all thought he would haha) but he didn't . To get realeased after that must of been a sore one to take.

Kevin Smith and Sean Dickson both possibly missing the game today through injury, didn't know that Dickson played on with a dislocated shoulder last week, big losses if their both unavailable!!!

Also will there be a pitch inspection today? It's fucking freezing through here this morning and there was a really bad frost overnight, nothing on the official site yet!!!

Wrap up if it's on, you know how nicely balmy it is at the Nu Bayview anyway expect it to be a wee bit chillier than usual!!!

On the Official Site...

After an early morning inspection by our groundstaff our match versus Clyde FC will go ahead as planned with a 3pm kick off at Bayview.

I would be wary though, this happened a couple of weeks ago, only for the Match Referee to call it off at 2.15, when he turned up!!!
