East Fife v Clyde

Recommended Posts

Wasn't at the game but going by reports not a good performance , however no a bad result the form since new year (Berwick the exception ) has been good think Ferguson is now getting to grips with what's needed in this league for me it's about building for next season don't think we will be anywhere near the play off spot either up or down

I think it could be a wind up! Where is Ferguson going to get 5 players from? he going to pull out 5 free agents?? (if he does that that's a miracle)Some loan deals?? I just don't see it at this point in the season! And most importantly who's he going to bring in players with experience and quality! Or he gonna round up a load off youngsters? Even still if I was a clyde player and seen that my gaffer stayed that I'd be raging!

Amazing that Clyde were within a minute of taking 6 points from Bayview this season having hardly kicked a ball in either game.Surprised that they fell for the same move that led to the East Fife goal at Montrose.Either the management team hadn't done their homework or someone went to sleep.A more attacking approach from Naysmith ,with more support for Fash would have more than likely won the game.

Boo hoo hoo. 'Homework' isn't exactly necessary in this league, only doing the basics really is. Unless you play a side whose players are known, and are obvious targets, like ours of course. Glad too see such frustration about what is now seven from nine away points....and one (crushing) defeat in six. Its better than everyone scratching their head wondering where the next result is coming from. I'd say perfectly good form heading into 3 home games in a week. Its definitely a good sign that being supposedly so bad and still getting something has its good points. We'd never have put this run together in October/November with what we had,

Wasn't at the game (Ayrshire to fife to far for league 2) but was a pretty terrible game from what I read so in all hohnesty a point is fair but it's sore when you loose a goal in the 90th minute. However other results really fucked us over this week Arbroath doing us no favours and Montrose are in shit street now. We definitely need to beat Annan and Montrose at home and beat Elgin away (however with our form up there they could field their under 11's and beat us) but let's hope we pick them up hoping somehow someone beats Annan to give is a chance of catching them.

Agree with this 100% except we did go 5 unbeaten in October!

Fleming came a long way out for that ball and completely missed it, if he had stayed on his line McQueen would have probably headed it straight at him. Still, he is a decent keeper and like all keepers' your mistakes are very costly.

Nice finish from Mullen, very much like the Montrose goal the week before too and going by the reports and highlights a point was at the very least what we deserved.

Still, that's 5 games unbeaten and we are playing well, sadly it's too little too late. We won't finish 10th and will be very hard to get 4th, so just the off field shenanigans to sort out now.

Not having a dig but this jumped out at me from the evening times:

Bully Wee boss Barry Ferguson said: ""It was the poorest game I've seen in a long time. It was a defensive error that cost us the goal and I've let them know that in the dressing room. I didn't think we were under any great pressure at the back and I thought we would see the game out. We have the players to do that, but a single error cost us."

There's nothing like slaughtering an individual player for team morale. FFS.

Fair enough, but is he supposed to lie to people that the error wasn't costly?? There really wasn't much time left for anyone to f**k anything else up, and (although i wasn't there) it clearly wasn't a barrage of non stop EF attack that had to be held out against......it cost us, it's been pointed out and hopefully will be dealt with either by the player or the manager. Quite glad that at no stage of the interview does he say we were unlucky, fed up with managers papering over the cracks in interviews to satisfy the stupid happy-clapper types who have sod all else in their lives.

It's not an under 10 boys club team, if players make an arse of basic stuff then go through them! I am absolutly certain players at this level have had managers giving them abuse for years, water off a ducks back for 99.9% of them.

He didn't say they were unlucky because he was aware that his side had been largely outplayed throughout the game...

I'll trust his judgement that he thinks you're shite as well, then, as there's not a lot of talk about weathering any storms right there. What part of 'poorest game in years' don't you get?? Does the fact your manager greets like a fucking girl about every external circumstance cheer you up, or is it that ours doesn't which has all you Sam Dingle-alikes in a cunting frenzy at having a superstar in your town?? We should be ramming three or four past diddy mobs like that anyway. I'm glad Barry's mortified that we aren't.
