Ira Gaines
A little bit of 1) and a lot of 2). I don't think Trump is as stupid as his voters. As ill-informed perhaps but probably not as much of a knuckledragger. He's done a good job of playing to his audience though and whether it's his Obama/Kenyan stuff which established him as a Republican figure, or all the insane shit he said in the GOP race; he's only got stronger as his statements have gotten more ridiculous. You would think that the obvious thing to do now would be to reign that stuff in a bit but he still has to stand up in front of thousands of thicko bumkins and tell them what they want to hear. I find it more likely that he's a not particularly bright ego maniac who can't help himself when it comes to playing for a cheer; than the idea that this is all some elaborate conspiracy. You can see the cogs turning in his brain when he makes that ISIS statement. He's clearly thought of it on the spot. "Should I say it, should I say it, should I say it...OBAMA FOUNDED ISIS!"[emoji38] Could be right. The Clinton stuff has been OTT as well and only really started when it looked like he was doing well. He's ramped it up and I can't help feeling it's just a soapbox until the apprentice. If he wins, he's fucked.
banana
Shillary phlegming up. It'd be pretty remarkable if someone with access to some of the best medical care on the planet couldn't shift an everyday cough in the space of 8 months. Alan Stubbs
Was Clinton coughing away during here DNC speech? I'm not asking that to be argumentative, I don't actually know. If the examples of coughing provided are due to some serious illness, I doubt she'd get through 45 minutes of constantly talking without showing signs of it. A 70 year old woman coughing a handful of times over a campaign period where she's doing multiple speeches a day isn't that remarkable imo. Paco
On top of calling half of Trump supporters "deplorable" it's been a bad few days for Clinton. She's forgotten the number one rule to winning this election - make people forget that it's her they're voting for to stop Trump.
Sooky
Some of this Hillary health stuff lately has been way over-exaggerated (OMG she coughed!!!) but a presidential candidate being dragged into a car because she fainted is certainly newsworthy, even if it was just to do with the heat. Thistle_do_nicely
I genuinely feel bad for American's at the minute - vote for a candidate whose health has some serious questionmarks hanging over it, or vote for somebody who doesn't believe half the bullshit he spouts and is probably only in it to raise his own profile. edit: and both have some pretty distasteful pasts tbh - Hilary getting away with the confidential emails when an ordinary prole would in all likelihood get the sack along with the rigging of the DNC so that she got in ahead of Sanders, and Trump's dogwhistling on pretty much his entire campaign trail. That video is starting to make me think Trump has a solid chance btw - she's pretty clearly in poor health and can't handle the rigours of an election campaign, and I can't see that going over well with any electorate, let alone an American one. Bully Wee Villa
Hypothetically, if she is too ill and withdraws, very unlikely hopefully, who would be the Democrat candidate? Would it be her running mate, the candidate with the next highest votes (presumably Sanders) or would they have a re-vote?

Bully Wee Villa
Conspiracy theory time: Trump has spoken up in favour of Putin a few times. Paco
Hillary's camp now claiming she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. Don't know whether to believe it or not given just a few hours ago all was fine, nothing to see here. Where does this leave her campaign? Can she campaign with pneumonia? There's pictures of her cuddling a little girl at the memorial earlier when she knew full well she had pneumonia...Fox have Trump ahead in another poll, in unrelated news.
