At the age of 20 has turned down £100,000 a week from Liverpool

He wants to be though of, "As a young kid who just loves playing football, not a money grabber"......Aye, right son !!

#AMF the soldiers should get that money!

"Dey shud give all da moneys to da soldiers and da nurses, they are da real heros, not dese guys who jus run around nd pretend to be injured all da time."

The boy should try and get as much as he possibly can, why wouldn't he? He's worth whatever someone is willing to pay him, and If Liverpool aren't willing to pay more than a hundred grand a week, then someone else will and he'll make a wedge from a signing on fee as well.

Interesting you automatically assume that was what I was suggesting.

Probably says a lot more about the narrow mindedness and blinkered attitude you have, than anything else.

"The 20-year old England winger told BBC Sport,he is motivated by trophies and not money after rejecting a contract worth £100,000 a week".

In that case, Celtic could offer him £20,000 a week and almost guarantee him of at least 2 trophies a year

He means proper trophies, which he won't win at Liverpool or Celtic.

Really ??

Jeez never realised that

Ok, so if Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Barcelona came in and offered him the same wage as he's currently on at Liverpool , he would jump at the chance ??

Yes, obviously. What planet are you on?

Obviously a different one from you and the other gullible folk on here

If he really means what he says, he'd actually move for less money to these clubs

Trophies rather than money ??

Get fucking real

The whole 'why wouldn't he? He has every right to...' line is the key one for me.

Yes he has that right, but folk also have the right to call him on it. He's acting like a greedy wee c**t and then trying to tell folk he's not.

But it's his right to so why wouldn't he?

He's called it spot on here Derek.

You can't just put your fingers in your ears and shout 'la la la la' when someone criticises an aspect of modern football. It's incredibly childish.

Those soldiers should get paid more Facebook arguments are dreadful - but to therfore tar any critics with that brush is not acceptable.
