YER SISTERS YER MAW
How anyone can clap that eejit Canning off after his idiotic sending off is beyond me. Absolute madness from him. A manager? Yer havin' a laugh!!!
RandomGuy.
Ended up a pretty entertaining game that. First half was absolutely brutal. No movement and hopeless punts towards Hamilton defenders wasn't a great game plan, while running into your own players was a pretty poor tactic defensively too. Not really sure Accies actually deserved the lead though tbh, as they didn't really do a great amount with the ball. Second half was much better, and its sad to say that taking Muzz out the midfield turns us into a better side. We were starting to build up a head of steam, and O'Halloran was getting more and more involved, then Canning decided to try and break his legs. Game was all us after that, but our lack of quality in the final third shone through really as we struggled to really create decent chances, the goal was superb though, tremendous cross and a belter of a header. If we'd had a proper goalscorer we'd have won the game. Hamilton are becoming a bit like the side that went down last time. Instead of trying to close down or pick quick passes like they did early on this season they seem more intent on wrestling with opponents and leaving studs showing. MacKinnon seems like a complete liability aswell, his punt out the stadium to try and waste time was absolutely laughable.
stepek 4 tellys
A point dropped or a point won? No doubt had we kept 11 men on the park we would have won. The sending off was poor, a yellow at best, St Johnstone were very poor and had we kept at them in the 1st half after scoring we would have won comfortably. Apollo King
Lappin should have been sent off , fouled an Accies player when on a booking then later pulled Ziggy back as he broke away , Ziggy should have went down . Would have to see Cannings sending off again if his feet were up fair enough as from where i was sat it looked just looked a late taking one for the team challenge which is usually a booking but if it was worse then no complaints ,

You're going to want to change that opinion when the highlights come out I'm afraid. No attempt at the ball, scissor round the man and about a week late. Red card all day long, mind you that was the only thing the ref got right all game basically.
perthsaint1977
Agree if Hamilton had kept all eleven on the park saints were getting nothing. Alarm bells ringing for me that Tommy Wright Is not learning from mistakes. Horrendous decision to go 451 here after the debacle of 451 at Patrick recently. No doubt it will be wheeled out on Tuesday night again with the players told to keep it tight and feel our way into the game. Infuriating watching saints this season. If we had any consistency this season we would be close to ICT. On Hamilton they have gone back wards dramatically. Could be a long season next for them if canning remains in charge . Widge
Hang on a minute, we were clearly on the front foot even when Canning was sent off and were getting in behind. I've no doubt the sending off helped, but I think we'd have scored irregardless, it just meant the chances of conceding another was lessened. It was like the idiot in front of me who was screaming at Wright to change it, this being at the start of the second half, when it was clear we already had. Most saints fans are clueless! No idea how Lappin escaped a second yellow. It was a stonewall red card though. The only intent was to take out O'Halloran, he was ridiculously late, both feet were off the ground and made contact with the player.

I don't think we created any problem for Hamilton up to red card. We were inept as usual going forward. Why after we leveled was MOH moved to other wing when he was destroying the full back consistently ? Just another bizarre decision from the manager. Our attacks at pace fizzled out when this happened.

Silly Canning then , the disciplinary problems continues under him . Fully expect Dundee to win one of there 3 last games to overtake us and Canning has to carry the can instead of making excuses . He was playing wherever he wanted in the second half, so to try and level the blame for that at Wright is bizarre. If anyone is to blame it's O'Halloran for once again not showing a footballing brain. Also the decision to take him off was the correct one as well, I've no doubt others will disagree, but they'll be wrong.

Not sure about this, tbh. His pace alone was causing the Hamilton full backs to squeeze in and compress the defence leading to acres of space in the wide areas, which is where the goal came from. We became infinitely easier to defend against once he went off and it became clear we'd just pump balls into the box.

He had absolutely no space to move into since they say on their 18 yard line. Correct decision to bring Kane on, as O'Halloran is next to useless when he's got his back to goal in comparison when he is facing towards the goal. Anyway was poor decision to remove him. I'd have taken scobbie off and went with 2 at back. As someone else mentioned we become so predictable when he is off the pitch. Interesting to see what TW does Tuesday night as got to feel MacLean and Frazer Wright will come in. Lappin surely merits place in team also. To me the sub to make was Swanson off, Kane on, and move MOH to the wing.

The fact you've suggested we went 2 at the back now discounts you from trying to discuss tactics. Plus he wasn't "consistently" going down the wing. He was moving into the space, it just I happened that at the time it was there.
