Ayr United v Peterhead

Recommended Posts

Must must must win this game. We need to win our last two home games to pretty much make secure our safety as Stenny's run in looks horrible for them. Peterhead don't really have anything to play for now so they will just be looking to ruin everyone else's season.

We need to start taking our chances when they come along as we have been so wasteful for about 5 weeks now, if we take our chances I'm confident we will win this one. We also need to start wee Nizzy ahead of Beattie as he made a much better impact in the Stranraer game, Beattie was useless.

2-0 Ayr with Nizzy and Preston scoring.

We really don't want to be going away to Airdrie needing to get something so need to win this one. Does anyone know if Forrest is likely to be fit/what's even wrong with him....

Beattie's lack of mobility for someone his age is frightening whilst technically he's not exactly the best either, no idea if Nisbet would be a better option though.

Forrest has pulled his groin and will be back (hopefully) for the stirling game at home.

I normally make it back home for a match during the old Easter Holidays but this Saturday I've had a better offer. I'm off to see Mr Tumble at the Hydro (don't worry I do have a toddler and am not just a paedo):

If folk don't mind I'll have a word and see if he's available to take over when McCall gets punted next year.

That Nizzy looked superb for your reserves tonight, as did the wee ginger number 7. Some good young players.

Hopefully he can produce it soon. No.7 sounds like Peter McGill, started the season in the first team, but seemed to lose his way 5/10 games into the season. You're right though, we luckily have a good group of youngsters, with the likes of Muir, Crawford and Forrest in the first team squads regularly.

Aye that's it McGill, he was good. Nisbet caused a lot of problems though. The centre half Morgan Neil looked a bit brutal though.

It was influential in the goal, no corner no goal, simples.

Yep, you really are. You had the opportunity to defend not one but two corners.

I could equally state that the long throw for your last goal was a foul throw as the guy only had one foot on the ground when he released the ball. However, we had the opportunity to defend it and didn't.

Neill is on loan from Motherwell, started a few games and now is 5th choice centre half.

Nisbet is very, very raw and very, very small so I'm not sure if he's suited to starting yet. However, the lad certainly has promise and has usurped Ryan Donnelly and Dale Shirkie as first team strikers. Maybe I could be persuaded to see him start...

This is a winnable fixture again but we REALLY need to start taking our chances. We were well worth a point on Saturday so should hold no fears about this one. Stenhousemuir are going to take a few points off teams and we need to do likewise, starting this weekend!

Nesbit has only really been brought on with less than 15 min to go when we are chasing a game so has never had a chance to settle into a match in the first team, the preferred front two aren't scoring goals so we would be as well playing him from the start on Saturday as Beattie seems more likely to score when he comes off the bench.

Peterhead probably have nothing to play for and hopefully by the time we play Airdrie they will be the same....yip, I am hoping teams will have chucked it for the season rather than hoping we will win on merit

Hahaha, you've a real check there. Just because it didn't directly lead to it, it still was part of the chain of events to the goal. Had a goal kick been given, that goal wouldn't have materialised.

FFS - The whole match is inter-linked chains of events.

Still, only one side had a goal given when it should have been a foul.
