Should be a good game.

What is happening with the Rabs new ground?

I thought they were only going to Cumbernauld for one season, but I am sure I read on here that nothing much is happening down Southbank way.

Win for us and we are in a good position to challenge for second. Kilsyth lose and they are out of running for second place for a start and maybe even a playoff place given they have played more games than the challengers.

Our recent form allows us to go into this game confident.

Was down past it a few days ago, work appears to be at a standstill. Heard that it is down to a dispute between developers of car park site, which is now complete, and a different one who are ther field developers. Apparently it is all about access to new site.

Irony of it all is that the Roy could have still been playing there but they had to register a home ground prior to start of this season and they could not possibly have known that it would pan out in this way.

Another full season away from Kirkintilloch at the very least, maybe they should get together with Clydebank and jointly build a new ground halfway between the two, Bearsden United?

Why do you think you'd be well clear? Surely if your team is good enough they can play, and win, anywhere! So, if you do get promoted, will not having your own ground be your excuse for not winning the Super Prem?

Was tongue in cheek auldyin ha.

From another thread

roy to win easy....sawyers hat trick :-)

Possible he isn't called the goal machine for nothing!

given they have played more games we would be out the running? How do u work that out? You are presuming the other teams will win their games in hand and no doubt a few of them have to play each other and playing 3 games a week maybe, so if we lose a wouldn't say that's us out of the chase for even a playoff place, your talkin nonsense but it wouldn't be the first time.

Excuse me. It's my opinion what this forum is for. I think if you lose tomorrow trail us by three and we have three in hand you won't catch us. If you lose your having to hope at least three teams below you lose multiple games in hand. One or maybe even two might but all three nah not for me. All opinions at this stage, lots of if''s .Interesting to see how it pans out.

To be honest, considering new management, at least half a new team, we're doing well. Dont think we'll make the top three but teams around us still have to play each other and soon be two/three games a week. Usual twist and turns as the season ends.

Rob Roy 2 ( Davison , Tiffney pen ) V Kilsyth Rangers 0

Thought the game today was good considering the windy conditions , pitch held up fairly well.

Overall we were the better team , don't think anyone would dispute that had better chances , hit woodwork couple of times before the two goals, kept our shape well at the back after the two red cards in the first half one for either team.

On the red card incident from a distance couldn't see that much looked like a yellow card for both players , kilsyth player one of the mcbrides seemed to take exception to it resulting in him having a go at upton as they both got to the pavilion.

Young keeper Jordan Brown looked sharp today and dealt with things well , Barr and Brogan kept it simple and defended well , Carter at right back did ok ahd a lot of the ball, danny mckenzie also did fairly well at left back . Thought Hunter for the Roy had a decent game , kept the ball moving did his job , upton was busy as usual before his red card, On his day Duff is our best player but looked off it today after his long time injury highlighted by the chance he missed early doors when one on one with dukes.

Boy Collins out wide did fairly well , always wanted on the boy trying to make something happen. Aitken didn't start off the best but came into the game and did well in the end before coming off for tiffney.

Sawyers is sawyers , took a bit of stick from kislyth fans for diving etc but he played well , held it up , linked up with others and won the penalty for the second goal when dukes brought him down before he was about to tap it in ( red also for dukes ) .

First goal Duff was onside for me , i was right in line with it , tidy finish from Lee davson inside the box hit it high but kept control of it so it didn't blaze over. All in all good day for the Roy ,especially when you consider we were missing Paul Finnigan , Gary McMenamin Josh Flood and Kevin Watt looked fairly comfortable doing a well ' professional ' job on Kilsyth.

A give u the benefit of the doubt on some of your posts on here as u obviously want the best for your team ! But come on take your black and red specs off, it was a mile offside, even the Roy guy's behind me agreed it was well offside, and can u explain how a guy can elbow another player in the face "sawyers" the ref runs over consults the linesman, he tells the ref its a deliberate elbow and u produces a yellow instead of a red ? Care to explain that one too me ?

Read my post from super first thread , guy was running back the way , duff came on to the ball from a onside position from out wide and the play developed from that , a kilsyth guy near me and a couple of neutrals agreed all was good .

Sawyers played well , always gives it out and takes it at the same time. I didn't see anything from willie that warranted a red neither do i remember anyone near me calling for a red card.

End of the day you have your blue specs and maybe i do have my red and black specs on but we were the better team for most of the game and deserved to win the game . 5-0 over two games will take that anyday of the week :thumsup2 .

And fair play to kilsyth they have transformed things this season and will finish fairly high up the league and still in the west i aint so blinkered to ignore that and i recognise it.

There was nobody running back you are making that up, as for your condescending tripe about us improving, come back when your not running buses to your home games and I'll take your opinion on our team seriously.
