Nightmare Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Thus leaving the immobile John Sutton, who couldn't trap a bag of cement, leading the line.
AMMjag Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Immensely pleasing. Sluggish first half from both teams but we upped our efforts a lot, even Higginbotham who largely had no luck but had a big say in the first goal. Kudos to Osman on what may have been his best game yet for us, he had Pearson tucked in his arse pocket and generally strolled it today. His performance combine with an ever more impressive Frans-Balatoni partnership means we've been a very difficult team to score against the last few weeks - indeed, only Celtic have managed to find a way past us over our last five games. Night and day from those games against Ross County. We're now safe and the priority should be sorting out contracts for the appropriate individuals, hopefully Osman first. It's looking to have been an at times painful, but ultimately excellent second season in the top flight from us.
P45 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Baraclough is saying that the 2 goals were offside. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32270674
underboyleheating Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Just curious, how many Well fans made the trip through to Firhill?
Nightmare Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Just curious, how many Well fans made the trip through to Firhill? Pretty sure the announcer said 1,600 and something.

Nizzy Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Baraclough is saying that the 2 goals were offside. **** has wall-eye vision, though.
jagfox Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Abdul fucking Osman. I'd let him shag the wife after Archie and Shaggy has had a shot too
underboyleheating Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Pretty sure the announcer said 1,600 and something. Cheers, pretty good away support. They will be sadly missed next season if we go down.
Sting777 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Cheers, pretty good away support. They will be sadly missed next season if we go down. Ideal scenario is that you beat Sevco in the play offs. Whoever play that lot (if they reach the play off final, that is) will have the backing of the whole of Scottish football
Armand 2 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Baraclough is saying that the 2 goals were offside. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32270674 What on earth was he watching if he thought it was "only a matter of time"? Is he always that delusional? He's lucky his team got out with only a two goal dent to their goal difference.
Sting777 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Baraclough is saying that the 2 goals were offside. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32270674 I was up the North Stand so difficult to tell, but didn't see one Well player complaining at either goal, though I was going a bit radio rental and might have missed it. For Barraclough to say it was just a matter of time....it indeed was in the 2nd half. We feckin destroyed them, like we did at Fir Park in the 2nd half. Difference this time is that we had Lyle Taylor to take the chances
mrcat1990 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I think the Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath fans will be looking forward to Blazing Squad coming and banging their bongo drums and doing their synchronised clapping! Despite the slight cringe factor, I actually dig what the Motherwell Bois are doing, which is bringing atmosphere and colour to Scottish football. They're basically everything the Green Brigade should be. All in all I'm throughly happy with the way that game panned out and the result. See that game there folks? That's why Taylor is the fucking man. In the first half he was constantly creating attacks that everyone else was two steps behind, including our own players. Making space, creating chances, making the right runs.. Oh and scoring important goals. Honorable mentions to Osman and Balatoni. It's terrifying how much a difference a comfortable defensive partner makes to Conrad. I'm still not 100% comfortable and only will be once it's confirmed we are safe, however today goes a long fucking way to making me chilled for once. Play shite for half a season and be safe, then play great in the latter stages but be in danger. Just one of those seasons.
Red 'N Yellow Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 We've reached our points total from last season with 5 games to go and +24 better goal difference. Our consistency the last couple months seems to be continuing so I'm not too worried, we have 15 points to play for and only 5 points behind a chronic Hamilton side, might be possible to get above them.
Casagolda Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 In fairness to Baraclough, it looks like he might have a point about the first goal in particular being offside. Although I'd probably be more concerned about why no one seemed to bother picking up Balatoni rather than complaining about a tight offside call.

P45 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Baraclough has a decent point about the goals being offside.
John Lambies Doos Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Baraclough has a decent point about the goals being offside. He does actually
ChrisMFCfan1886 Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 Lets be honest here.... John Sutton couldn't score in a red light district
