Dundee United vs Hamilton 11/04/15

We can but live in hope...

An interesting fixture for anyone bar us given that an Accies win and a St Johnstone win over Dundee could stop the wee team across the road, reaching the top six. As a united supporter, the end of the season couldnt come quick enough and the motivation for these last 8 games is virtually non existent :(

This has the makings to be an epic encounter. Both teams were playing some good entertaining football earlier in the season but now look more like two Sunday league teams . It's a win or bust game for us but can't say I'm holding out much hope for the 3 points. 0-0

Those set of results could also result in Fundee United missing the split too

Tricky fixture for Dee fans. Obviously it would be nice to see Hamilton lose but by the same token it would lovely to see Arab misery endure.

I'll go 1 nil to the dayglos with Cifti receiving a 6 match ban for being a total w****r.

Do we have to? This season is fast becoming a rather torturous experience, I think I might go and help cheer Forfar for the rest of the campaign, they at least are winning games! My fiancé is a Hamilton fan so we will both be going to this knowing that both of our teams are dreadful at the moment.

Please can we just get a win, please can we keep a clean sheet, please can we score from open play? Too much to ask? Probably.

Not a bad idea actually, my favourite scottish ground. Are they at home om Saturday? I could just keep going grab a bridie and catch the Accies score on the radio. :1eye

They are! Playing Airdrie. You can get in, get a Bridie, a Bovril and have a pint in the bar at the ground for less than getting in to Tannadice!

Why are people suggesting Cathro? Why would he leave the assistant manager job at Valencia, sitting third in la liga, for United?

People, not only United fans, suggest Cathro because he's the dream - the unattainable dream. He's the lassie that you used to fancy at school, but who wouldn't look twice at you because you read comic books and listened to the Cure (Natalie McRoberts, I'll never forget you). He fits that mould of what a lot of fans want these days - he's young, ambitious, intelligent and innovative. He likes football to be played the 'right way'. People will cling to any shred of hope that he might decide their ground is the one he'll start his managerial career at:

United fans "Well, he's from Dundee..."

Killie fans "Well, he once said he loves synthetic surfaces."

Rangers fans "He looks like a Gers man."

Alas for us, like me with Natalie McRoberts in fourth year, Cathro will remain nothing more than a pipe dream. IMO, there's more chance of him being lined up to one day manage in the (Nuevo) Mestalla than there is of him ditching days in the Spanish sun for interviews with the Scottish Sun.

You're a bit of a weird guy, aren't you?

Was unaware you were marrying a unicorn, Stu.

Right, Arabs, sort it out. We need another three points in the bottom six and as I enjoy life's constants, the chance to finish above Accies.

Missing this one :(

I think we'll get something from it. Watched United last night an they were hopeless and haven't looked overly impressive in the other two games but we are pretty shit too. Is Canning in for this?

Dreading this. I can't imagine us winning a game at the moment, no matter how poor a run of form the opposition is in. I have resigned myself to just hoping we scrape top 6, before the players' heads go on holiday 5 games early as usual, then JMc is hopefully sent on his way.
