St Mirren vs Killie

Not saying it's impossible, but it's like Bomber's Dundee of a few seasons ago. We need to win virtually everything while Motherwell shit the bed. They need what? To pick up 5 points before the end of the season to relegate us regardless of our results?

I think the fact that Motherwell lost their last two games is the most surprising thing to me. After seeing them thump us 5 I thought there's a team with confidence who will win their next couple of games and what we do won't matter.

It's more their sudden collapse that's created that glimmer than anything we did today.

Pipe dream stuff, we're down.

Aye just take it game by game. Not got any hope at all, completely resigned to relegation. The pressure is off the players now.

Can't believe it took Teale so long to realise how shite Gow and Arquin were. The young boys should have been given a chance long before now, Gow shouldn't even have been given a deal. We all knew that apart from GT.

I do agree we are almost certainly down, but even making it interesting is more than I expected would happen.

Aye, fair enough. I thought we'd be down by 5pm today as well.

Is it true that before this game St Mirren had only scored 8 goals at home all season?

Aye 8 goals at home all season and I missed only 1 game this season which was a 3-3 with Ross County so before today I witnessed 5 goals at Home since last August. And today in one game I nearly (and should have) seen us double that tally. We have been shit but I could not believe just how bad the Killie defence are. Just as well you have points on the board based on today's performance.

That was horrifying viewing. We were shite from the first minute. Samson, Ashcroft and Barbour were particularly poor. Thompson strolled that game.

Ffs stop blaming locke. Judge him after the summer. Have a go a the players for there pathetic performances. Only Josh gets pass marks. That performance was up there with ibrox. Horriffic.

Samson is out of contract if you want him back buddies???????

I'll personally deliver him to you if that helps?

What the f**k was that game?

Before I get my head around that, I have to say that Sean Kelly was fucking outstanding today. I gave him absolute pelters after the Motherwell game but today he made so many tackles and interceptions and took his goal very well. He looked far comfortable on the ball too. That was possibly the best individual performance in a Saints shirt this season. Hopefully he gets a run at centre-back for the rest of our games this year.

This happens every season, we get pumped off the worst team in the league and give them a bit of hope, we're a bit evil really. ICT when they were shite, dunfermline, even fucking Gretna. You're goners, just accept it

Brilliant from us today however my good mood is tinged with annoyance at the players not playing like that in either of the last two games. If they had done that we'd have a fighting chance of staying up.

I felt before hand we'd start to close the gap to Motherwell over the next few games. We've been on the other end of it before with the likes of Dundee, Hamilton and Dunfermline suddenly inching but ultimately finishing bottom. This season we're the ones doing the chasing and ultimately I think we'll see the same - a few good results but ultimately we'll come up short.

That annoyance aside it was a great performance from us and a shocking one from Killie. Can't believe folk wanted us to appoint Locke - and they gave him a three year deal  Folk on here have a go at our fans for booing but the Killie fans were on their own players' backs even before we scored - and we were ahead inside 10 minutes!

Kelly was superb for us and Baird did well alongside him, one of Wylde's better games and no real failures.

We're going down but at least we had one more moment of joy - like a dying man who just wants to see the sun come up one last time.

No worse off than this time yesterday, and one less game to play. That's as positive as I can be. Let's hope locke has an eye for a bargain in the summer, and can get a squad playing for each other by August.

We have accepted it. Just cannot believe how shite Killie are :)

have you though? It doesn't look like it.

Why can't you believe it? We're third bottom, that's very clearly shite.

Chill out man. Every St Mirren fan has admitted we are going down and rightly so. However before today we have had 1 victory at Home all season scoring a total of 8 goals. Does that not make us rank rotten? So to get beaten 4-1 for only our second victory and concede 4 goals is pretty embarrassing for Killie who played pretty shit.

Thats a fair point

Jesus Killie were rank rotten. I'm not sure how well we played Killie were that bad. I think we did play well however!

Pascali was a mess at the back, touch was awful and Samson is a shadow of the keeper that left us too.

I didn't understand the formation or way Killie were trying to play. They seemed to often play it out from the keeper only for the defence to pass it around and then aimlessly punt it at that lump Magennis.
