A bit unfair on the guys that had to arrange time off their work imo, don't see why Maryhill couldn't have switched one of the games to another park or played the game at Larkhall.

We've been trying to rearrange it since the clash came to light, ideally for another night this week, but unfortunately that's now not happening.

Hopefully your players will have been kept in the loop that this might well have been happening and won't be inconvenienced having been given four days notice of the change.

It's an unfortunate part of groundsharing with a team from another setup and not the first time we've been given a home fixture clashing with one of theirs this season.

Case in point - it's just happened again. The fixtures up until 2nd May are now up on the West Region site, and we're down to play Bellshill at home in the Central Cup on Wed 29th.

Can probably safely say that's not going to happen that night either, as BSC have been down to play Gala Fairydean at Lochburn on the 29th for some time...

Correct me if I am wrong but Lochburn is Maryhill's park & BSC Glasgow are their tenants having only been created a year ago who's running who here?

As for fixtures what's the point in commenting because each year the League Secretary tops his cock ups of the prior year!

So is it correct that BSC have first claim on the park now?

Absolutely not the case, although what they DO have is a fixture list announced more than a week in advance, which therefore means they'll more often than not have notification of a date they'll need the park before we do.

It's less problematic with two Junior teams groundsharing because the same fixtures secretary is compiling both teams' games and will more likely than not remember not to give them a home game the same day, but the West Region have forgotten the fact we're groundsharing with a Lowland side on several occasions this season with fixtures arranged months in advance which has led to confusion each time.

We're hardly as you suggested earlier going to give up home advantage or go to the expense of hiring an alternative ground just because the fixtures secretary has made a mistake. I doubt any other club would either...

The Maryhill v Bellshill game a week tonight is a goer, hence the fact it reappeared on the SJFA website. BSC although initially scheduled to also play that night are attempting to get their game against Gala arranged for another night next week.

Confirmation of the next few Maryhill games:

Sat 25/4 v Dunipace (H) 2pm

Mon 27/4 v Blantyre (H) 7pm

Wed 29/4 v Bellshill (H) 7pm

Sat 2/5 v Lanark (H) 2pm
