All New P&b Home Page

Div

Recommended Posts

I was feeling a bit rank tonight so sat and plodded my way through the new 2004 version of P&B which has culminated in the launch of, what I think anyway, is a pretty funky new look for the home page instead of drinking lots of lager and falling over as is my usual Friday.

I have opted to ditch the user submitted news for the time being to give those damn fine people like Kev, Sam, Mythical, Ruggy some well deserved time off - we will possibly return to a user contributed news system in future - particularly for the first division bit of the site as a starter for ten.

You will see that the new site basically consists of a welcome page and then a sub-mini-site for each of the divisions fed with news from the Scotsman and all the usual P&B links.

The homepage contains the last five topics that were posted in across all forums, all the latest league tables and links to all four prediction pages.

The forum is really king here - but I still think worthwhile to have a news site that surrounds it.

Feedback - good and bad - always welcome. New site is at the same address as the old one so is available through the link top left of the forum :)

Looks good Baldy, the SPL part seems a bit of a waste at the moment but may get better!

Some of the icons on dial-up may be slow to load but that's a minor fault!

Site won't change much - so once cached should be fine for all you dinosaurs out there still relying on dial-up ;)

I quite like it, growing on me, like all the fast links to stuff. Though I do notice that Aberdeen are sitting at the bottom of Div 1 just now!!!

That is very strange. The league tables come from a database and I cannot for the life of me work out how Aberdeen make it into the first division

Bugger..........

Perhaps MC enjoyed writing the reports and such, like I know some of the other authors did. ;)

Ah yes - but then we have our all new super dooper blogs now......... ;)

Wasn't it the females who were greetin' last time you changed the home page Pieman ?

perhaps you should include a section on cookery or My Little Pony :P

Get to France.

'la cuisine' ou 'mon petit poney' :P

I was rather disappointed to find that there is no French word for pony. They've just borrowed the English word: and then they spelt it wrong. Lazy French bassas
