Gianfranco
Big game for Motherwell again, a St Mirren win probably mean we will be in the playoffs and a draw isn't really enough for us. Hopefully the St Mirren team are in holiday mode and we can take advantage and I'm glad I broke my never seen us win at new st Mirren park voodoo earlier in the season. What's the script with tickets are we likely to get a bit of the home end?

What's the script with tickets are we likely to get a bit of the home end? Bit worried about this one, the jobby that just wouldn't flush has finally gone but St. Mirren are now playing with absolutely no pressure and have grabbed a couple of decent results recently. I think we really have to win this one. I don't see Killie picking up another point before the end of the season so a win and a draw in that case would be enough for us, however I'd rather not take a point at St. Mirren and have to beat Partick last game of the season! A win on Saturday with Hamilton and Partick both winning would put us in a great position going into the last game where we'd just need a win of any sort in the County vs Killie game on the last day and us to at least draw. It's all a bit mental! 2-1 'Well and a hell of a lot of result checking during the game on Saturday!!
welldaft
Based on performances you cannot see Killie picking up 3 points. But then the same could be said of St Mirren's win v Ross C on Saturday. I expect one of Killie or Ross C will pick up 3 points this weekend. I hope not, but it would be too much to ask for - for all 3 teams going into the final game on 38 points. We need to win and hope that other results go for us and are not the final nail in the coffin. Point being - our away form has been poor. St Mirren have nothing to lose which makes them more dangerous imho. I will head along for only my second away game this season. The 1st was our recent loss at Partick. Maybe I should stay away
sergie's no1 fan
What Motherwell don't want is Killie and County both just needing a draw to avoid the play offs when they meet next week. I expect Motherwell to win comfortably but then I expected that on Saturday there.
Swello
Looking forward to Sat - but not feeling massively confident that we'll repeat the pumping we handed out to Saints a few weeks back. At home, we are now resembling the 'Well team of the past few years - looking good going forward but a bit shoogly middle to back - basically hoping to "score one more than them". Away from home, we're still ropy at the back but our midfield and forwards have simply failed us (recent good 2nd half at Rugby Park aside) - and it is this that needs to change on Saturday, we need to get at St Mirren's fairly ropy defence and get our noses in front. As to what happens with County and Kille...County are still a good team and by all accounts should have won on Sat, so I kind of expect them to get over the line - only a bout of nerves (maybe caused by an early Accies goal), would stop them. Killie on the other hand look unlikely to get any points but a lot depends on Thistle's approach to the game - they are the best side in the bottom 6 IMO and if they want to win it, I think they will. The ideal is obviously that we go into the last day level or a point behind both Killie and County where a win for us guarantees us missing the playoffs - but that still feels unlikely to me. NorthBank
We introduced a new CB partnership three weeks ago and have won twice since then! This new partnership of a 20 and 18 year old look better than anything else we have had all season. However we have nothing up front (except penalties) so 0-0 with Well still pishing themselves for another week.

Tenth position is Killie’s and County’s to lose and at the moment our play-off fate is in their hands. You never know if we can sneak another win on Saturday and they drop points it will make for a very interesting last day of the season. However, that being said surely Killie and County have enough left in the tank to secure their SPL status? Or, when it comes to the crunch will they crack under the pressure? Ross County should have scored more but were wasteful, Killie set up our first goal and gave us 2 penalties. The whole team is pretty poor. The kids are doing their best but midfield isn't good enough, missing a Goodwin (from 2 seasons ago), Steven Thomson, Shuggy type character to give some screening to the defence. Mallan and Reilly who are both youngsters can't do that. Up top there is nothing. Thommo isn't the same player, Arquin, Gow et al are pish. Defence and keeper have no protection. Motherwell should ease to a win given they have something to play for and with Killie on a Hibs style death spiral, you'd have to say they look like they might escape 11th spot. Tamdunk
3 points away is a pretty big ask from us, and thistle have all but owned us this season, so I can't really see us escaping at the moment. Kevin Keegan if we went into the last game level on points though.
thisGRAEME
Still can't fathom how we're still in touch, given how terrible we've been. This season feels like its gone on forever. Any kind of win would be fine, don't care how. In a perfect world, we'd stick another four or five past the buddies (sorry) and try and rescue the goal difference, but any type of winning goal I'd take. A shinned shot from Simon Ramsden, deflected in off George Long's cock. Anything.

Outplayed you in the first two games but points mean prizes. If we had forced home our superiority in those first two games, we'd have still been in amongst it but hey ho. MJC
The luck we've carried by the bucketload in recent weeks with regards to other results going our way to keep us alive to finally run out this weekend as we draw or lose this one whilst Killie and County both get a point. underboyleheating
Still can't fathom how we're still in touch, given how terrible we've been. Killie and County will be kicking themselves if either of them royally f*ck this up (County especially as they have been on a great run). We were all but certs for the play off spot and some how with two games to go we still have a chance of tenth. It looks like miracles may be real after all. It really is incredible the amount of opportunities and lifelines we've had thrown at us to get out of this. Had we turned up at either Firhill or New Douglas Park then our fate would be in our own hands and those two debacles, along with the 1-1 draw with 10 man Killie at Fir Park in March are what is going to ultimately hang us in my opinion. Tamdunk
County were all over st mirren at the weekend, our best hope is for Killie to pick up 0 pts from next 2 games, even that prob won't be enough.

Two massive blips though and at a time when we could ill afford them. That said when you look at our overall performance this season and take into account the disastrous runs from the beginning of the season, with the tone set by the Euro debacle, up until McCall walked and then the even worse spell from January the 1st at NDP until the last weekend in February then it's hard to argue that we are where we deserve to be and after such poor runs we had left ourselves with a mountain to climb. Its no use to only start showing any fight or belief in late February when we'd shown none whatsoever in the six months previous.
